Ketchapp has taken their popular casual tower building game The Tower and has slightly tweaked it for Assassin's Creed's 10th anniversary with the release of an all-new yet familiar title. This new game is known simply as The Tower Assassin's Creed, and you can expect all of the same tower building goodness of the original with the added benefit of having an Assasin's Creed character jumping off of these towers.
Bandai Namco has recently pushed out Naruto x Boruto: Ninja Voltage for pre-registration on the Play Store. It is billed as a brand new action strategy RPG. It would seem you will be tasked with building an impenetrable fortress where you have to protect your village from other players, all the while venturing forth into the world and attacking any village that is not your own.
The sequel to the hit Square Enix RPG Final Fantasy Dimensions has just launched on Android and boy is it an odd release. For what started out in Japan as a free-to-play social RPG titled Final Fantasy Legends: The Crystal Of Time And Space, has now been transformed into Final Fantasy Dimensions II, a premium RPG released worldwide that costs $13.99. Of course, one has to wonder how this transition has affected the gameplay.

Halloween is a special time of year when the temperature outside is just right, the trees are displaying their full fall foliage, and pumpkin flavored everything can be found on your store shelves. In order to incorporate the holiday into Android gaming I have decided to hunt down some of the better horror-filled games released this year to give you all a fun holiday themed post that should get you in the mood for an enjoyable Halloween this Tuesday.
Firefly Games Inc. has released DreamWorks Universe of Legends. At its core, it is yet another lazy hero collection game starring many of the famous characters found in DreamWorks Animation's films, with a few base-building aspects thrown into the mix to round the whole thing out. Of course, a hero collection game wouldn't be complete without simplistic battles that require little to no input from the user. Sadly this is all par for the course in a game filled with in-app purchases that are squarely targeted at children, though I suppose Dreamworks doesn't care where the money comes from as long as it keeps filling their coffers.
Back in August I wrote a post about some of Asmodee Digital's upcoming game releases that were announced at Gen Con. Well, it would appear that they have released some more details about these titles this week for Spiel Essen 2017. Anyone familiar with Asmodee Digital will know that they are one of the largest digital board game developers and publishers out there today. So it is no surprise to see that they have a ton of new games planned for release this year and the next.
IT: Escape from Pennywise VR is a new Daydream virtual reality experience that directly ties into the newest movie adaptation of Stephen King's IT. But that's not all. This appears to be Warner Bros. second VR experience for IT, where the first episode IT: FLOAT - A Cinematic VR Experience was released for free on a few different video VR streaming services back in August. Why these releases are not both on Android I am unsure, but I suppose it is a way to monetize what started out as a free promotional tool since IT: Escape from Pennywise VR is priced at $0.99.
Back in April Rocketcat Games announced that Death Road to Canada was finally coming to Android. After a 6-month wait, it would appear that it's officially landed on the Play Store with a price tag of $9.99, a whole $5 cheaper than its PC counterpart. You can expect all of the same pixel-based zombie killing gameplay where you are tasked with managing a car full of jerks as they venture forward to the zombie-free Great White North.
Sega's latest SEGA Forever release is a moderately unknown title and something of a hidden gem from the Genesis library. It is called Decap Attack Classic, and it is a classic 2-D sidescrolling platformer from the 16-bit age. You play the part of a headless mummy named Chuck D. Head, and it is your job to take on the underworld demon Max D. Cap. Despite the silly puns, this is a competent platformer that Sega has seen fit to release on Android. But the question remains, has it held up?
Team 17 just released their base-building strategy survival game Sheltered on the Play Store. It is a port of the PC and console releases, and it retains everything those titles contain including a premium price point. The gist of the game has you protecting 4 family members in a post-apocalyptic world by venturing into an unsafe land in order to provide for your family. You can pick it up today for $3.99.

Rainbow Train, the makers of the hardcore minimal "dodge-em-up" oO, has released an all-new minimal puzzle game experience on the Play Store that is simply known as PUSH. A fitting name for a puzzler where the central mechanic has you pushing button after button. What is interesting is that there is no timer, no point system, and no real objective other than to complete one puzzle after another. Essentially you can tackle this release at your own pace, which is excellent for a game marketed as a relaxing experience.
Alike Studio has finally brought Love You to Bits to Android after an 8-month wait. It is the spiritual successor to the once-popular point and click adventure game Tiny Thief. While Tiny Thief's publisher Rovio has since removed the game from the Play Store, Love You to Bits should not have such an issue thanks to the developers Alike Studio and Pati.io publishing the game themselves.
Taichi Panda 3: Dragon Hunter recently opened the floodgates for its public beta release. This essentially means any and everyone can now download the title on the Play Store in order to see its MMORPG gameplay in action. While there is no doubt that this is a beautiful game, the lack of any useful markers on the world map forces you to use the all too convenient auto-play button to progress. Essentially this is yet another mobile MMO that plays itself.
Game of Thrones: Conquest has been launched worldwide as of today. But before you get your hopes up, it is clear that this is a Game of War clone with a Game of Thrones skin. With such a high profile property, it is a real head-scratcher as to why Warner Bros. squandered such a worthwhile opportunity to bring something fresh and new to the mobile gaming scene.
