Chrome OS is getting a revamped, dark-themed system tray inspired by Android P. The more modern design is part of Google’s effort to bring Chrome OS and Android closer together in terms of their appearance. You can try it out now if you’re on the Chrome OS developer or beta channels.
Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners on US Cellular can now upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo. The update brings the latest Samsung Experience 9.0 user interface, bringing the Galaxy S8 series in line with the Galaxy S9, as well as new features like picture-in-picture and notification dots.

Huawei today unveiled the new Honor 10 smartphone in China. The handset packs an edge-to-edge display and high-end specifications, but it’s the gorgeous color options that are most impressive. The phone is already available to pre-order from the Honor site.

- Three owner CK Hutchison Holdings has confirmed that Xiaomi devices won’t just be available in Three stores in the United Kingdom. You will also find them in stores in Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, and Sweden — and in A. S. Watson’s Fortress, Superdrug, and Kruidvat stores in Hong Kong, Ireland, the U.K., and the Netherlands.

Verizon has begun rolling out a new update for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. The release notes on the carrier’s website say that the update includes Android 8.0 Oreo, but users who have already installed the release were disappointed to find it didn’t quite deliver everything that was promised.
