As the rumor mill grinds, so has Google when it came to developing another pair of Pixel Buds. The first one, which debuted in 2017, were pretty much plastic central and, while using Bluetooth, still cabled. This time around, the cable's gone, the buds are thick, and Google Assistant is easier to access than ever.

The introduction of the Pixel 4 and 4 XL into Google's phone portfolio brings some crosswinds to the current support structure for existing Pixels. If you've ordered yours with the Google Store and paired it with Preferred Care, you'll want to take note of some price changes.

A number of transit systems worldwide have signed contracts with fare solutions vendor Cubic to modernize their collection methods — that includes accepting contactless payment mediums like Google Pay. But for those who rely on a weekly or monthly pass to commute on the metro, they've still had to resort to a physical Oyster or Clipper or what-have-you card. Now, Cubic and Google are working together to allow Google Pay to take in transit cards.

Google's cloud gaming platform, Stadia, will be able to deliver up to 4K HDR content at 60fps. But will all of those games — some of them having come out long ago — be able to put up as much as the servers are willing to put out? Will they be 4K60, too? The short answer is yes.

If you've been meaning into improving your personal listening situation, you might have sought out a few pairs of wireless earbuds for your purchasing consideration. Back in June, Google began rolling out new Material Design looks to Docs, Sheets, and Slides. It took a couple months for that roll-out to hit the wider public, but most Gmail accounts now have it. We say "most accounts" because it's rare for general users of Google's services to come in lockstep with what G Suite account holders are experiencing. Now, we're learning that G Suite users will see the fresh styling on those three apps.

Maybe you've taken smartening up your home seriously to the point where you have a smart speaker, display, TV, or a combination of any of them in every room of your house. Need a new phone for cheap? How about two new phones for cheap? The Moto G6 could be a great candidate for either your primary phone or your side carry and we've got a couple of deals on right now with the 64GB version at its lowest price yet on Amazon and a free 32GB unit if you buy another phone direct from Motorola. If you're thinking that the G6 is yesteryear's mid-range phone, you bet your face it is — and it's a great budget phone this year. You've got TurboPower USB-C charging, a headphone jack, a half-decent 2:1 display, and a Snapdragon 450. In some regions, you're looking at a clone of this year's Moto E6 (at least in some regions), but the G6 just packages everything together... better. It's a very handy device, too, because you can take it to any carrier working off of the four major carriers. Yep, CDMA ones, too.
