Despite some of our misgivings about the Lenovo-owned Motorola, the company is still producing some decent devices. Misguided zealotry over mods aside, the Moto Z2 Play has proven to be an okay phone. If you're a Verizon customer, then Best Buy is offering the Z2 Play for just $7.99/month, making the phone cost $191.76, a whole $216 off MSRP.

If you're looking for an easy way to get into home automation, then this deal alert may interest you. The Wink Hub 2 is currently on sale, dropping down to $69.17 on a few websites. That's about $30 off of the MSRP, which is pretty decent.Wink's second-generation Hub received a very nice, favorable review from Rita, which you can read here if you're interested. There are plenty of features, a simple setup process, and a wide range of supported devices. Wink doesn't have the diverse custom integrations that you can get with SmartThings, but the Hub 2 nonetheless remains a solid competitor with its ease-of-use and reliability.A few different retailers have the Hub 2 on sale, so you have some options from which to choose.Source: Amazon, Jet, Walmart

The weekend is nigh upon us, meaning it's time for one more round of app sales! Our lists this week have been pretty short, so today's may seem much longer by comparison. If you haven't yet, be sure to go back to Wednesday's post, tiny as it was, to see if anything catches your eye.

With all of the OnePlus 5T news, and the admittedly righteous anger from some of the OP community, it's easy to forget about yesteryear's phones. Both the OP3/OP3T received another Open Beta update, which is supposed to improve the overall Oreo experience on the two devices.

Acer has made a name for itself designing and selling good bang-for-your-buck Chromebooks. I came away rather impressed with the Chromebook 15 (2017) not too long ago, despite some shortcuts made to keep the price low. Moving on, though, we're seeing yet another sale on one of Acer's other models; the Chromebook 14 for Work (CP5-471-312N) has dropped to $389.99 on Acer's U.S. store, a savings of $210.

It's Wednesday, so I'm back once again with some more app sales for you all. The list is extremely short today, if you couldn't tell already. While there aren't the notable entries that I noted on Monday, the smaller post today should make most of you happy.

Telegram continues, as usual, to get better and better. The latest version, 4.5, adds a few new, interesting features. From grouping multiple photos into albums to an improved search implementation, Telegram 4.5 is a relatively large update.

I think my favorite part of the holiday season is all of the sales that you can find on various items. Among those, phones are commonplace. It's a great time to pick up yesteryear's goodies at very low prices. This Deal Alert is just that: B&H has the black Sony Xperia XZ (F8331) for $304.99, saving you $70.

It's Monday again, which means that we're due for the first round of app sales for the week. November is already half over, and Thanksgiving is next week (here in the U.S.). Our list today is short, especially for a Monday, with a couple of good ones mixed in. And apologies for how late it is — better late than not at all, yes?

Happy Friday! The end of another week is upon us, coupled with whatever the weekend has in store for you. We have yet another short list today, which is okay in my book. Be sure to check out Wednesday's if you haven't already.

Among the impending Black Friday deals are some good prices on phones. One of those is the Honor 6X, a device that was already cheap. Now, however, you can pick it up for just $149.99, which is $50 off the going price.I reviewed the 6X what feels like an eternity ago and I was actually fairly impressed. For the price, it's a good phone, minus Huawei's EMUI "skin" — although, the Nougat update made things a whole lot better, so I give the Chinese manufacturer props for that. At $150, I don't find it hard to recommend this phone, if you can live without 5GHz WiFi, USB-C, and an oleophobic coating on the screen. As a refresher, the Honor 6X sports a 5.5" 1080p IPS display, a Kirin 655, 32GB of storage (plus a microSD slot), 3GB of RAM, 12MP+2MP rear/8MP front cameras, a 3,340mAh battery, and a very fast fingerprint sensor. All three colors are on sale at Amazon, B&H, and Best Buy. Select whichever retailer you prefer below.Source: Amazon, B&H, Best Buy

Following the short-lived, but extreme, success of Pokemon GO, Niantic Labs has announced its latest augmented reality title. Fans of J.K. Rowling's literary works, rejoice, because Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will let you step into the wizarding world via AR (just like I know you all have always dreamed).

The Black Friday deals are already starting to roll in. Best Buy is jumping the gun early with a crazy awesome deal on Jaybird's Freedom F5 Bluetooth earphones. Right now, you can pick up a pair for just $49.99, a total savings of $100 off the MSRP.

I think that there's just something about this week that has made it so that I have no idea what day it actually is. Luckily, Google was kind enough to remind me that it is, in fact, Wednesday, which means it's time for another list of app sales. We have a lot fewer today than we did on Monday, which may be good or bad, depending on how you look at it.

News surrounding OnePlus is starting to heat up, since the mostly fan-favorite Chinese manufacturer has decided to repeat its two flagship strategy from last year. Opinions on that aside, we saw an update to the Camera app a few days ago, bringing the version to 2.4.17. Not a huge update, but it has a slight UI change.

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the thrice-weekly app sales roundups. I took some time off from doing these to give myself a break, seeing as I was rapidly approaching serious burnout. Thank you to all of you who let me know how much you appreciate these and that you missed them — I'm sorry that you've been left in the dark for two weeks. All of that being said, we have quite the shoddy list to welcome us all back, and yet we trudge onward.

If you're in need of a cheap phone, then this deal is for you. The Moto E4 Plus (32GB) is on sale for $169.99 at various retailers, meaning that you can save $30 on an already inexpensive phone. It's worth noting that the 16GB is also cheap, running for 9.99, but the 32GB is the real winner here. When we reviewed the Moto E4 Plus here at AP, we considered it close to the perfect budget phone. For your $170, you get a 5.5" 720p IPS display, a Snapdragon 427, 32GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, 13MP/5MP cameras, a 5,000mAh battery, and a fingerprint reader. In all, it's a pretty decent phone all things considered. Both the black and gold colors are on sale. You have a wide array of retailers to choose from if you're going to pick this up, all of which will be included in the source links below.Source: Amazon, B&H, Best Buy, Frys, Jet, Newegg, Walmart

Asus just announced its Zenfone 4 family of devices a couple of months ago, creating a convoluted and confusing portfolio. To kick things off, we have the Zenfone 4 Max on the lower end of the group. For $199, you get budget-level specs, except for the massive 5,000mAh battery. Besides it just being large and providing a lot of life, the Zenfone 4 Max's battery can also charge other devices. Cool, right?

Asus has announced which devices of the convoluted ZenFone 4 family are coming to North America. The ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4, and ZenFone 4 Max all feature dual-camera systems, front-mounted fingerprint sensors, and Nougat. They'll be heading our way soon with their emphases on strong photography capabilities and value propositions. To make this easier to digest, I have split the three phones into their own sections. We'll start with the king of the bunch.
