The LG G3 Stylus is, frankly, LG's attempt to hit Samsung below the [pricing] belt for consumers in the market for a Note 4. The G3 Stylus, though, is a hell of lot cheaper, and for good reason: it's not a very impressive device. With a 5.5" qHD display and a quad-core Snapdragon 400 paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, the G3 Stylus panders shamelessly to a price point, down to the capacitive rubber-tipped stylus that feels supremely disposable.

Lenovo is an up-and-coming player in the Android world, having taken the Chinese smartphone market by storm in the last couple of years. Now that it owns Motorola, we'll likely be hearing the Lenovo name even more often over here in the US as the company seeks to expand the presence of its Android portfolio across the world.

If you've been watching the tablet space lately, you've probably noticed Qualcomm isn't exactly winning the processor wars: Intel, Samsung, and NVIDIA have been slowly clawing back market share in a segment where cellular radios just aren't as important. The biggest gains have undoubtedly come for Intel, who have been extremely aggressive in pricing their mobile chipsets low and, allegedly, providing superior sell-through and promotional services for retailers and OEMs, something Qualcomm and NVIDIA simply don't have much experience with, and budget chipmakers like MediaTek and RockChip can't afford.

Huawei isn't a household name in America, and it's really not even one throughout Europe at this point, either. However, in China and much of southeast Asia, Huawei has been a rapidly emerging dominant force in the smartphone industry, and consistently tried to differentiate its products in the marketplace through engineering know-how. While this hasn't always worked out, especially in America, Huawei is without a doubt one of the most advanced smartphone OEMs out there.

We had a chance to take a few minutes with Sony's latest and greatest in Berlin earlier today, and I have to say: we left impressed. While the company's smartphones have had basically zero market penetration in the US (aside from on T-Mobile), the Z1 and Z2 were both fine flagship devices when stacked up against their contemporary competitors.

Update 10/20/14: As you may have already realized, the big Wear update hasn't come out yet. Delays do happen. According to several sources we've spoken to, Google will announce something soon, and the update likely got pushed to early November, possibly to coincide with the final Lollipop release.

This weekend's poll is going to be a bit different, in that it's sort of a two-parter. Starting on Wednesday, a slew of press conferences and announcements by various Android OEMs will be taking place at the IFA electronics trade show in Berlin - we'll be there to cover it, too! What we want to know is just what announcement you're really on the lookout for.

If you were wondering just what was in inside a Maps update appearing on your devices starting yesterday, wonder no more: the changelog is here. The changelog, though, is not only short, it is not of particularly great interest unless you're a Hindi speaker. Here it is:

No, it's not a free phone, but sometimes knowledge (and a good time, to boot) can be a lot more valuable than stuff: today we're giving away two passes to Droidcon London, Europe's largest Android developer conference.

In an exclusive look provided to The Atlantic, Google today unveiled Project Wing, one of many "Google X" studies designed to produce "moonshot" advances in technology, health, and science.

If you and I think alike on the subject of "good sound," you probably found the title of this review, well, annoying. Audiophilism can be an annoying thing, and audiophiles themselves can be quite annoying about their audiophilia. It can be sort of like talking to someone who's really into, like, I don't know... cheese. Or something. You know what I mean - they don't just love it, it's part of their identity. And we should be thankful for those people, because it is they who lead us to experience wonderful and life-changing revelations like "hey, some goat cheese actually is pretty good!" or "wow, Grado headphones do look like they're from the 30's but sound amazing!"

After a few teases of its premium follow-up to the G Watch, LG has finally let loose official details for the G Watch R. The immediate takeaways: a 1.3" P-OLED [Plastic Organic LED] display, stainless steel body, a heart-rate monitor, leather strap, Q4 availability in "key markets" and, not surprisingly, no pricing at this time.

In a move to shamelessly match Google's highly-aggressive Drive storage pricing, cloud drive favorite Dropbox has finally lowered the pricing and upped the storage of its Pro plans on a massive scale: the company is now offering 1TB of storage for $9.99 a month. That's the same price you'll pay for Google Drive, and even less if you opt for the annual subscription, at $99 per year (17% savings).

Update #1: The Wall Street Journal is now corroborating and confirming TI's story.

It looks like Motorola is prepping a revamped version of its Skip accessory in time for a Moto X successor later this year, and it's going to be called.. Skip. According to some FCC documents that someone shouldn't have published because they're apparently confidential, Skip is going to switch to a Bluetooth-powered (as opposed to NFC) design to gain some more useful functionality.

Limefuel is one of the most popular makers of portable chargers for smartphones and tablets out there, and today we're teaming up with them to give away a OnePlus One 64GB and a host of their awesome charging products, like the Limefuel Blast range, offering anywhere from 6000 to 24000mAh of portable juice.

Granted, it's not a pretty render, but it is a render of LG's upcoming G Watch R - a smartwatch that appears to be sporting a full circular display (no Moto 360 cutout) with more classic chronograph styling. Motorola's Moto 360, on the other hand, is just a sexy circle from the future.

While I don't exactly agree with the principle of teaser videos (say nothing, get free press), they are sometimes hard to ignore, especially when big name tech products are involved. Today's weirdly emotional ode to handwriting comes courtesy of Samsung, reminding you that on September 3rd they'll be Unpacking(TM) a new Galaxy Note.

Crowdfunding complex hardware is risky business, and it seems that risk is something backers of the Kreyos Meteor smartwatch are becoming all too familiar with.

Update 2: Amir Efrati, author of The Information's report, says Verizon is a lying piece of crap:
