T-Mobile Galaxy S Blaze 4G Ice Cream Sandwich Update
T-Mobile has begun rolling out the long-awaited Ice Cream Sandwich update (T769UVLH5) for the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, and you can get it right now one of two ways. First, you can head to your phone's settings menu and check for the update. If the update doesn't appear, though, you'll either have to wait, or download Samsung's Kies utility (here) and check through that.
For some time, Motorola Mobility has offered its MOTODEV Studio for Android suite as a standalone alternative build on Eclipse. A lot of developers seemed to like the additional tools Moto built into Studio, but weren't exactly keen on dropping Eclipse in exchange for Moto's less open solution.
Flight simulator players are something of a different breed. Flight simulation games can require hours of attention to what, for many people, is an extremely tedious (boring), monotonous (boooooring) task. But, the best simulators on the market are so good (realistic) that you can actually use them as part of a professional flight simulator. X-Plane (for the desktop) is that good.

C Spire Wireless Gets The Galaxy S III
It seems like everyone's getting a Galaxy S III lately, and C Spire Wireless (formerly Cellular South) didn't want to be left out. If you're unfamiliar with the company, they're a regional provider in the Southeastern US, with a Verizon-sourced regional MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) national network. C Spire operates its own network on its home turf, and that includes a growing LTE footprint. That LTE, for now, is quite limited, basically to a few parts of the Southeast US.
Back for day three, Google's 25 Billion Downloads promotion continues to serve up some of Android's most popular apps on the cheap (some of them are actually pretty good this time, too). Check 'em out (link may not be up to date for everyone)
Searching for flights on the internet has always been kind of easy. But the various interfaces, data entry fields, and numerous sites you have to go to (unless you use Kayak) to find them have never made it a joyful experience, exactly. Google wants to change that. Now, you may already know Google publishes a flight search app called OnTheFly by ITA. It's pretty good on a phone. I've used it to help friends book flights before, and I really like it.
Kairosoft can take 16-bit graphics and a few scripts and turn them into fun over and over again without fail. This time the Japanese mobile game developer has strayed a bit from its typical approach, though, by combining its world builder-style titles with a Pokemon-esque RPG element. Yeah, it's weird.
Google Maps is awesome. You know why it's awesome? Because of stuff like this. On the Lat Long Blog today, Google announced that it has implemented new 45-degree flyover imagery in 51 cities (such as below) around the world - 37 in the US, 14 abroad.

When eBay updated its Android app to v2.0 about two weeks ago, many users were experiencing serious issues with the new version. eBay quickly pulled the update, and went back to the drawing board.
