When it comes to the most popular internet browsers, Microsoft Edge isn't exactly at the top of the list, but Google Chrome could be getting one of its features. Edge has a feature that allows you to preview the contents of a tab by hovering over it to show a screenshot without having to visit the tab itself. Google has added two new flags to Chrome Canary that suggest a similar feature could be on its way.

Verizon is pushing an update to the LTE variants of the Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier that brings Tizen version 4 as well as some cool new features. If you're still rocking a Moto G4 Plus, you'll be pleased to know that Motorola is finally rolling out Android Oreo to your device. It was only 18 months ago that the company issued a statement promising the update, and it seems it is just now getting around to it. Better late than never, right?
The ability to merge your Fortnite accounts to share cosmetics and pool V-Bucks across different platforms is finally possible. Being able to play against your friends regardless of what device they used has been one of Fortnite's strengths, but it made managing game resources sometimes more difficult than it needed to be. Epic Games now lets you access a single account on multiple consoles, but the process will see your inventory locked for a few weeks.
Facebook page admins can now reply to Instagram DMs from FB, as shades of cross-platform integration emerge
Over the years, Facebook has purchased many successful businesses but has for a large part kept these services separate, at least as far as the public can observe. But now we're slowly starting to see that change, as Facebook Page admins become able to respond to Instagram Direct Messages right from their inbox.
Things may look different the next time you open the Uber app. The latest version (build number 4.249.10002) revamps a few bits of the UI to take advantage of taller screen ratios, and it makes scheduling easier. It's only accessible in the official beta channel, though.
Android TV users across the world (hey, there are a few!) are turning on their TVs today and noticing things look a little different. Google has pushed an update with rounded icons and an entirely new font. There are a few system app updates, too.
You can demo the Galaxy S10 in person on launch day in New York City — but you'll need to RSVP
Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S10 are set to open up on February 21, with sales not starting until March 8. For those wanting to get some hands-on time with the new devices but don't want to wait until March, Samsung is holding an event at its 837 store in NYC during the Unpacked livestream.
Galaxy S10e leaks show off the size of the hole-punch and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor
The design of the Galaxy S10e is no secret thanks to press renders showing a very similar looking device to the S10 and S10+. It is expected to be a more affordable option to its siblings while offering a similar experience with an edge-to-edge display, despite marginally larger bezels.
The S Pen has always differentiated the Note series from other flagship smartphones, and each year Samsung has made it a little bit better. With the Galaxy Note 9, Samsung enhanced the S Pen with Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to supercharge 30 minutes of power in under a minute. Today, the USPTO has granted a patent that could see the S Pen also used as a camera with an optical zoom — potentially removing the need for a camera notch (or hole-punch).
Hot on the heels of Google pushing the latest update to the Pixel devices, Essential shows it still means business and has issued its February security patch for the Essential Phone PH-1.
All three upcoming devices in the Galaxy S lineup have stopped by the FCC as we approach the February 20 Unpacked event. Before a device is released in the United States, Samsung needs to obtain certification through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and typically the reports are made public before the launch of the device. At this point, the certification is a mere formality as we've seen pretty much all there is to discover about the S10 series, including some up close and personal leaks. Nevertheless, some rumored features can be confirmed.
Security firm Trend Micro has discovered 29 malicious beauty camera apps that aim to phish user traffic and steal your photos. The apps have already been removed by Google from the Play Store, but only after accumulating millions of downloads.
When you're watching a video from a site, such as YouTube, you might want to do something else and navigate to other tabs while not missing out on what you were watching. That's where picture-in-picture comes in handy as it allows the video to be pushed to a mini-player on your screen so you can do other stuff.
