Earlier today, Motorola opened pre-orders for the 2015 Pure Edition Moto X. Earlier today, Acer announced a bunch of stuff, including a new gaming tablet called Predator 8. Well, it turns out that it wasn't finished with the mobile gaming stuff, because it also showed off the Predator 6 - a freakin' gaming phone.

A thing that people cared about; a thing that anyone wanted (outside of a select few, anyway). But I was wrong about that. It's not a massive upgrade over the previous generation, but there are definitely some decent improvements along for the ride this go. For starters, it's thinner, and the display is larger, giving it a more refined, high-end look. It also has a new feature called "Farsight," which lights the display up when you walk into the room, making it easy to see from a distance...hence the name Farsight. You can choose to see either the temperature, a digital clock face, or an analog clock.
There's no shortage of budgets handsets floating around out there in the States, and Acer just threw its name into the arena with a couple of low-mid-range (that's a thing, right?) handsets: the Liquid Jade Z and Liquid Z410. Catchy.

Nuu currently has a couple of other budget devices on the market, but the Z8 is what the company is calling its flagship device. With a $250 base price for 16GB and $300 for 32GB, this device is priced somewhat aggressively and spec'd fairly decent for something in this range:

Back in June of last year, I took the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Roar for a spin (and loved it). When Creative pinged me about the Roar's successor, I naturally couldn't wait to get my hands on it - and with a tagline like "Smaller, Lighter, & Sexier," I hoped that it would be even better than its predecessor.Spoiler: it is. This thing is legit. And for a starting price of $170, it's hard to deny that it's one of the best speakers around right now.
It looks like Samsung is anxious to remind people that Samsung Pay is going to be ready for action starting next month, because Sprint just started pushing an update to the S6 and S6 Edge that brings just that (and more) to the handsets.
