Bug In Angry Birds Lets You Unlock All Locked Worlds

Bug In Angry Birds Lets You Unlock All Locked Worlds

Have you ever wanted to peek ahead to those locked worlds in Angry Birds that are unavailable before fully completing the previous ones? A bug (or an Easter egg) in the Android version of the game lets you do just that, a reddit user braaaiins found. I tried it just a few minutes ago with 100% success.

Of course, many would argue that you should be going in order and playing the way Rovio meant for you to play, and I'd agree with them.

ZeptoLab, The Maker Of The Top iOS Game Cut The Rope, Promises An Android Version

Merely four days ago, @AndroidPolice (that's our Twitter account) tweeted out the following message:

"Cut The Rope" for iPhone is dubbed the next Angry Birds. Can we have that on Android please, @ZeptoLab? https://youtu.be/-1gf5UdYHwg

I don't know if ZeptoLab, the developer of this top paid iPhone game, was really listening or the timing was just right, but it seems to have answered our prayers with the following statement:

We plan to develop an Android version too, but it's still hard to give a release date.

Yahoo Messenger With Video Calling Ripped Out Of The Leaked MyTouch ROM, Works Great Over WiFi And 3G - Download It Now

A few days ago, Yahoo rolled out a version of the Yahoo Messenger for iOS that supported video chat and promised the same on Android shortly. Of course, we can't wait for "shortly" - that's entirely too long. Remember the Glacier/MyTouch ROM leak from yesterday? Turns out, it contains a full version of the Yahoo Messenger app, including video calling. Ripped out by the brave xda member matthewjulian, the app is available for download immediately (see below).

AT&T U-verse Mobile TV App Now Available For (Select) AT&T Android Phones

AT&T U-verse Mobile TV App Now Available For (Select) AT&T Android Phones

I'm usually not too fond of carrier's bloatware, manufacturer's skins, and other causes of lag and potential frustration for end users (not to mention that I'm especially skeptical when it's coming from AT&T), but AT&T's new U-verse Mobile app for Android isn't looking too bad. To be clear, this isn't anything new; the app's already been available for the iPhone, the Blackberry, and the Xbox 360 in addition to being available on Windows Phone 7 devices at launch, but now it's made its way to our operating system of choice!

ADW Launcher Updated To 1.20, ADW Notifier Companion Released

One of the most popular alternate launchers, ADW Launcher, perhaps known best for being bundled with CyanogenMod, has just received a welcome update. Version 1.20 now grants you the ability to fluidly resize your widgets, much like the launcher provided by MOTOBLUR. This allows you to treat your desktop much more like a customizable canvas than a rigid set of squares.

Along with this update, developer Ander Webbs also released an auxiliary service called ADW Notifier.

It all makes sense now. GetJar's servers crashing, the number of times our post announcing the arrival of the full version of Angry Birds was re-tweeted, the amount of cash Rovio, the company behind Angry Birds, must be rolling in right now...

angry-birds-1-million

Rovio has just tweeted out just how many times their incredibly addictive Angry Birds game has been downloaded, and frankly, they've got a huge hit on their hands.

Real HDMI Dev Voluntarily Pulls App From Market Over Motorola Droid X Issues, Android Market Model

On September 30, developer gman announced he would be pulling his popular Droid X app Real HDMI from the market. Now, it looks like that time has come and gone, as the app is no longer available for download from the Market, AppBrain, or anywhere else (as far as we can tell). He provides 3 main reasons for having done so:

Issue #1 = Droid X 2.2 is broke and I can't fix it.

[Updated: Now In The Android Market] It's Live! Download The Full Version Of Angry Birds Right Now [v1.3.5 + Mirrors]

The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here. A few hours ago, the full version of the most anticipated Android game ever, Angry Birds, has hit the Android Mar... errrr... GetJar Market, exclusively. Instead of uploading to the official Market first, Rovio decided to go for an alternative market called GetJar, probably in a deal to promote it. The Market version is promised "soon," which would be good right about now, as GetJar apparently wasn't prepared for the influx of visitors and promptly crashed for a couple of hours.
