It never fails. You're walking along, reading your emails, not looking where you're going, and then boom! You trip over the cat and land nose-first into his empty food bowl. Transparent Screen aims to prevent this type of misstep by letting you see through your camera while you're walking. Unfortunately, it can't fix your cat's passive aggressive behavior, but we're sure an app like that is in the works.
We've seen apps like this before, usually designed for texting and walking only.
We've said it many times before, and I'll say it again: one of the best things about Android is how customizable the entire experience is. One of the easiest and most comprehensive ways to customize your device - aside from rooting and ROMing, that is - is to use a custom launcher such as ADWLauncher EX, GO Launcher EX, and Launcher Pro.
Osmos HD, by Hemisphere Games, made its jump to the Android Market in late January, and brought with it some insanely relaxing gameplay. It was previously available on computer and iDevices, so you may have played it before it became available on Android. However, if you haven't played it already, the concept is ridiculously simple, but oh-so awesome.
Basically, you control a tiny little lifeform called a 'mote', and aim to consume or avoid being consumed by other 'motes.'
Polarbit invites users to prepare for the ride of their lives, bringing the sequel to Reckless Racing to the Android Market just two days ago. The game keeps pace with its predecessor, bringing "the best powerslides in the world," online multiplayer, and customizable control layouts.
Reckless Racing 2 offers several different gameplay modes, including career mode, arcade mode, single event, and multiplayer. Career mode offers a variety of cups to compete in, while arcade mode allows players to choose from an array of tracks.
Following up on the success of Cordy (a game we mentioned in part 2 of our feature on the best action/adventure games of 2011), SilverTree Media released Cordy Sky to the Android Market today, giving players even more of the freewheeling platform action they came to love in the original. Sky's gameplay is engaging, colorful, and addictive. In this adventure, Cordy meets Volt – a friendly robot who has been trapped on the mysterious planet for a while, and can help Cordy reach the big rocket in the sky to continue his quest to explore new planets.
Glu Mobile has done it again, introducing INFECTED to the Android Market today. Glu's latest mobile game jumps on the zombie bandwagon, following the story of a "strange virus," which has begun infecting citizens of New York City, transforming them into "insane, violent zombies."
INFECTED uses a gameplay style strongly reminiscent of tower defense, replacing towers with civilians, and turrets with defenses ranging from NYC cops to muggers, limousines, oil tankers, and more.
Nullsoft, creator of WinAmp, a favorite media player for over 10 million Android users, is adding its premium track directly to the Android Market. Here's a look at the feature list:

Today, Lookout, a mobile security company, released a new Android application that can help figure out just where those pesky notification ads are suddenly coming from and offer you ways to opt out of them or get rid of the culprits altogether.
Their creation, called Push Ad Detector, currently detects apps that use the following ad networks:
There are other detectors of notification ads on the Market, but none are as comprehensive and polished as Push Ad Detector.
