20 temporarily free and 43 on-sale apps and games for Monday

Welcome to Monday, everyone. For the last couple of weeks, each Monday has started off with some strong sales, and this Monday is no different. Final Fantasy III is easily the most notable sale today, but I would be remiss if I did not mention that Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition and Heroes of Loot are two quality games that are also worth picking up. I'm also excited to announce that we have a sponsor for our sales roundup today, so please give a warm welcome to the edufitness app SOTKA for supporting our work to consistently report the best sales available on the Play Store.

Marvel recently revealed at PAX East 2020 that its next game is coming to mobile as an open-world RPG called Marvel Future Revolution. This title will serve as a sequel to Netmarble's Marvel: Future Fight (not to be confused with the upcoming sequel for Contest of Champions), but instead of the linear design of the original title, Future Revolution will offer the same action combat wrapped up in an open-world design.

LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed is a F2P collect-a-thon RPG, now available on the Play Store (Update)

For some reason, LEGO has been busy this year lending out its brand to nefarious developers. Last week LEGO Star Wars Battles was announced, and it appears to be a free-to-play Clash Royale clone from Warner Bros. Today Gameloft's LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed arrived on the Play Store for pre-registration, and it looks like a MARVEL Strike Force clone. Before this year, LEGO usually concentrated its efforts on quality games offered for free to advertise its brand, but now it would seem that the company is perfectly comfortable sullying its namesake to earn a quick buck off of the children that enjoy its toyline.

Plants vs. Zombies 3 leaves pre-alpha testing, enters soft launch in select territories

Electronic Arts recently revealed that Plants vs. Zombies 3 has finally left its pre-alpha testing phase and has now entered into a soft-launch release cycle for select territories, and the Philippines is the first country to gain access. More countries will be added to the soft launch list in the future, though EA is still tight-lipped about any sort of expected time frame, and so the development of Plants vs. Zombies 3 will continue to trudge along during this technical testing phase.
