[Update: Out now] Bad North is a beautiful RTS coming to Android this month, and you can pre-register right now

Raw Fury has just revealed that Plausible Concept's indie RTS roguelike Bad North is coming to Android on October 15th, and as of this morning, the title is already available on the Play Store for pre-registration. This announcement comes hot off the heels of the Nintendo Switch release in August, and we can expect to receive the complete Jotunn Edition that brings with it new items, commander traits, and enemies. It will be your job to defend an island kingdom against a horde of Viking invaders by taking command of the island's inhabitants in order to control the broad strokes of each procedurally generated battle, and so far PC and console reviews have remained positive since the initial release.

League of Legends strategy spinoff Teamfight Tactics now available for pre-registration on Android

Riot Games (the creators of League of Legends) recently announced three new games for mobile and consoles. I've already covered the announcement for the MOBA League of Legends: Wild Rift, and in this article I'll be talking about Teamfight Tactics: League of Legends Strategy Game, a PvP auto-battler where you'll you’ll draft, deploy, and upgrade from a revolving roster of League of Legends champions. Essentially, it's an auto-chess game. This standalone mobile title should mirror the auto-battle mode found in the PC version of LoL, and cross-platform play is expected between PC and mobile.

League of Legends: Wild Rift 5v5 MOBA is coming to Android in 2020, and you can pre-reg right now

Back in May, we highlighted a rumor that League of Legends might come to Android courtesy of Tencent, a company that just so happens to own Riot Games, the developer of LoL. It has now been revealed that Riot has been very busy having recently announced three new games for mobile themed around the LoL franchise. In this article, I'm going to be talking about League of Legends: Wild Rift, a redesigned 5v5 MOBA slated for release on mobile and consoles in 2020. So if you're eagerly anticipating the release, I'm happy to report that League of Legends: Wild Rift is available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store.

[Update: Out now] Monolisk is a new dungeon crawler available for pre-registration, and it looks great

Monolisk recently arrived on the Play Store as a pre-registration release, and I couldn't help but notice how good it looks, which is why I'm writing this very article. The game is described as a fantasy mobile ARPG, CCG, and dungeon builder, all wrapped up in a single package, which sounds interesting enough, but clearly, the art design takes center stage here.

Zombieland: Double Tapper is a F2P idle game that serves double-duty as an advertisement

Zombieland: Double Tapper is a new release that comes from Sony Pictures, and it's a tie-in product for the Zombieland: Double Tap movie coming to theatres on the 18th. Like most branded titles, this is a free-to-play game, and it's essentially an idle tapper that contains gacha mechanics. So you better believe you can expect heavy monetization that's tied to the game's many loot boxes and currencies, all wrapped up in a title that serves as an advertisement for a movie. That's right. Sony would like everyone to sink money into an advertisement disguised as a game, which just about sums up the current state of F2P mobile gaming.

Fortnite Chapter 2 arrives with an all-new island and water gameplay

Over the weekend, Fortnite went dark as a massive publicity stunt where the game's battle royale island was sucked into a black hole. Today marks the launch of Chapter 2, and it brings along some significant changes. The most notable being the addition of a new island that replaces the last, but you can also expect new water-based gameplay, new hideouts/explosives, plus combat has been upgraded with a streamlined weapon arsenal. You can also expect less of a grind thanks to a brand new XP system and Medals for Chapter 2's Battle Pass. All in all, the launch of Chapter 2 appears to be a big one, so if you're eager to play, I'm happy to report that that the first season in the latest chapter is live.

Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry is a return to form for the series, and it's finally available on Android

Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry is a point and click adventure game that's the newest title in the franchise. The game has been available on PC and consoles for some time now, but as of today, it has been officially released on Android. Much like the previous titles in the series, this is an adventure game for adults, and since I grew up playing these classics, I'm happy to report that you can still expect the same potty humor as the originals. This means Wet Dreams Don't Dry isn't a game for children, though if you have a penchant for sexually-themed puns, it would appear today's release is a return to form.

15 of the best tower defense games available on Android in 2019

It was recently brought to my attention that it's often difficult to find quality tower defense games on the Google Play Store, and since this is a subject I've yet to cover in a roundup in my three years at AP, I figured it's about time I rounded up the best TD games currently available, so that's what I've done. Below you'll find 15 of the best tower defense titles on Android. I've primarily ordered the list by the number of downloads on the Play Store, though I did place a personal favorite at the top since it's a recent release most people may not be familiar with.
