About a week ago, we learned that the Android 7.0 Nougat would be released for the HTC 10 in Europe within 2 weeks. And right in the middle of that timeframe, the roll out has started.

Graham Wheeler, Product and Service Director for HTC EMEA, tweeted that the 1.17GB OTA has started with Unlocked HTC 10 units, but only in the UK for now. Other European regions should follow.

However, with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge's Galaxy Beta Program, the South Korean company proved that it was willing to change that. Now, following a global rollout of a similar caliber, T-Mobile is rolling the official Android 7.0 Nougat update out to Galaxy S7 edge devices that were already running Nougat beta software. Given that the S7 edge is receiving it, it's fair to assume that the S7 also is, or at the very least, will be shortly.

Several months later than we'd like to have them, of course, but such is life in the current world of Android software. Today owners of the HTC A9 on Sprint get a turn, at least according to HTC's official support page. The page says that software update 2.18.651.2 includes an upgrade to Nougat, as well as bringing the core security patch up to January of this year.

[Update: OTA resuming] Sony begins rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat OTA to the Xperia Z5, Z3+, Z4 Tablet

The Xperia Z5 series (Z5, Z5 Compact, and Z5 Premium) was on the list of devices that Sony promised to bring Android 7.0 Nougat to. After releasing the update to the more recent X Performance and XZ, then the X and X Compact, Sony is now ready to bring Nougat 7.0 to the Z5.

The OTA has started rolling out to some Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium users and will probably expand to the Z5 Compact soon.
