PUBG Corporation isn't one to stick to a rigid schedule when it comes to new patches, so we didn't see an update in December. Well, it looks as though the studio is possibly back to its old schedule for the time being since it just released patch 1.2 on the Play Store. As you would expect, new content is here for all to enjoy, such as the Runic Power Mode, where players will get to choose from three new skills that require special runes to power. Of course, new weapons, new options, and plenty of game improvements are in the mix as well, which I'll detail below.
Kabam and Netmarble are teaming up once again with Marvel to bring a new real-time RPG to Android. This title is known as Marvel Realm of Champions, and it will serve duty as the followup to Marvel Contest of Champions. It's expected to land sometime in 2020. Apparently, Realm of Champions will offer a reimagining of the Marvel Universe that's set on Battleworld, a forbidden planet hidden behind the Space-Time Barrier recently disrupted by the death of Maestro, the God-King. This results in a universe-wide battle themed around the Secret Wars event from 1984.
Stadia doesn't have a ton of original content, but Google's working to correct that, however slowly. Case in point: Outcasters, a new exclusive developed by Splash Damage, whose credits include contributions to high-profile series like Halo, Gears of War, and the Batman: Arkham games. It's nothing like you'd expect in light of Splash Damage's pedigree, but it is a fun little morsel, and it's free for Stadia Pro subscribers starting today.

Typically new PUBG expansions drop near the beginning of the month, and so patch 0.19.0 is officially available starting today. What's unique about this release is that it marks the first time the game has been updated without taking the servers offline in order to ensure a better gaming experience for players, which is nice to see. Beyond the new method to push updates, players can expect to find an all-new Nordic-style map Livik, a map-exclusive vehicle, and two new map-exclusive firearms. It's also clear that PUBG Corporation is continuing the prep work for the launch of season 14 on July 14th.
