It can be tough to find an Android tablet worth buying today. There's plenty of budget offerings from companies like Amazon, Lenovo, and even Walmart, but if you want the best of the bunch, Samsung is the brand for you. Today only, you can save up to 51% on a solid selection of its refurbished tablets at Woot.
We've featured the Harman Kardon Citation 100 a few times before on this site: it's a great smart speaker with an almost unbelievable price. At $350 (nearly four times the price of a comparable Nest Audio), even fans of the audiophile brand would be hard-pressed to justify the MSRP. Today's discount, down to just $94, isn't quite the cheapest we've ever seen. But it's still a fantastic deal for anyone in the market.
If you've been having issues with weird text formatting or just generally been unable to edit Google Docs or Slides for the last day or two, turns out that's A Thing. We don't know the precise cause or why it's only starting to happen now, but the issue is related to using an ad blocker, and disabling it for that page or those domains can fix things.
We're all desperately looking forward to the upcoming (white boy?) summer, and Google has just given Wear OS a new feature that will help you stay a little bit safer as you chase the sun. The platform's official Weather app will now show the UV index for your location.
Google wants you to know it's hip. It knows exactly what kids like these days: ASMR, bananas, and scrolling through videos on TikTok. Since they're already used two of those to advertise its current lineup of Pixel phones, it only makes sense to follow it up with the final entry in what has become a bizarre trilogy of commercials aimed at going viral. Google has partnered with creator Dayne N Simple to create a video poem in honor of its smartphones.
Nvidia hasn't exactly set the world on fire with its Tegra line of Arm-based mobile processors. Outside of its own excellent SHIELD hardware (and notably the Nintendo Switch), it's basically dead. But the company is hoping to breathe new life into its Arm ambitions by doubling down on what it does best: graphics. In a press release, Nvidia announced that it's working with major chip supplier MediaTek to combine Arm-based architecture with its RTX line of graphics cards.
OnePlus managed to scrounge up a lot of excitement for its first smartwatch last month at its official unveiling. With included fitness tracking and up to two weeks of battery, it seemed like a great deal at $159, even before taking the $20 voucher offered for the watch into account. Launch day has arrived, and OnePlus's newest gadget is officially up for sale — or it would be, rather, if it hadn't sold out almost immediately.
Square Enix recently revealed that the classic PS1-era RPG SaGa Frontier is coming to a plethora of platforms as a remaster in the summer of 2021. The game is slated for a release on Android, as well as the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and iOS, and that's about all of the information Square currently has to offer. Luckily the developer has released an announcement trailer, and so far, things are looking pretty good.
Google has just announced four "new" features for the Google Assistant, including some new Routine functionality, the ability to pay for takeout orders via a little Duplex magic, and a feature for lost iPhones. As usual, some of these are new-new, others are things Google's been silently testing for a while and which many of our readers may have already been using for some time.
Amazon introduced its self-branded true wireless earbuds, the Echo Buds, a year and a half ago. The big deal at the time was its direct integration with Alexa, but for the company's second go-round, they're piling on the extra features to make the headphones more competitive in a matured true wireless market. The new model is up for pre-order on Amazon today, delivered by May 13th.
