Pretty much everything about the Galaxy S21 series has been leaked at this point short of a full announcement... and now, a full press release has been leaked. Samsung Germany accidentally posted the Galaxy S21 Ultra's announcement earlier today; it's since been deleted, but as we all know, truly erasing something from the Internet is next to impossible.

First spotted by Roland Quandt, the press release confirms pretty much everything we already knew. The display is a 6.8" WQHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, which is the brightest a Galaxy phone has ever had. Samsung also says contrast has been improved by 50% over the S20 series. The front and back will both be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, which proved to be incredibly strong on the Note20 Ultra. Speaking of Notes, the S21 Ultra will have the S Pen as well.

Around back, the quad camera setup (108MP main + 12MP ultrawide + two telephoto lenses) has been confirmed. Samsung says that the 108MP lens "marks the biggest leap in the Galaxy series to date" (translated from German). A feature called Video Snap means that clear photos will be able to be pulled from 8K videos, and every lens on the S21 Ultra will support 4K recording. Samsung goes on to discuss the Ultra Wide Band (UWB) sensor's ability to unlock car doors and using SmartThings Find to relocate lost objects with UWB, like the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch, as well as a Galaxy SmartTag. In Germany, the S21 Ultra will have an Exynos 2100 processor, though other markets are believed to get the Snapdragon 888. The battery will recharge by 50% in 30 minutes, which is pretty impressive.

Prices and promos will vary by market, but in Germany, the 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB S21 Ultras will cost 1249, 1299, and 1429 euros, respectively. As we previously learned, the Ultra's standard colors will be Phantom Silver and Phantom Black, with Phantom Titanium, Phantom Navy, and Phantom Brown being available exclusively through the Samsung online shop. S21 Ultra pre-orders made from January 14th to January 28th will come with a free pair of Galaxy Buds Pro and the Galaxy SmartTag. Those who register with Samsung Pay on any S21 by February 15th will also get a 50-euro voucher for select accessories in Samsung's online shop.
