Verizon's virtual carrier Visible has always had a compelling offer—just $40 per month for unlimited data. However, it caps LTE speeds at 5Mbps, which limits how much of that "unlimited" data you can use. Starting today, Visible will let customers sign up for uncapped LTE service, and it won't cost anything extra. There's a catch, though. This offer is only available for a limited time.

Visible is a pre-paid carrier, so you don't get all the benefits of Verizon service. You get the network, though, and that's what most people want. The capped 5Mbps service is fine for some people, but who wouldn't want uncapped speeds if given the option? As part of this promotion, all current Visible customers will get the uncapped connection, as well as anyone who signs up while it's live. Your account remains uncapped for as long as you're a Visible customer, too.

Unfortunately, we don't know how long the uncapped LTE offer will last. There's also no change to tethering—that's still capped at 5Mbps. You can bring your own Verizon-compatible device to Visible or buy one from the carrier like the Pixel 3 or Visible R2. It will launch the Moto G7 Power and Pixel 3a in the coming weeks. You can check out Visible and sign up for service right here.
