Cleaning your own home is so tedious and unpleasant, but paying people to do it can get expensive over time. If only there were some way to enslave a small robot and make it clean up after you. Actually, that's been a thing for years. The Neato Botvac D7 is new, though. This robot vacuum comes with voice assistant integrations and smart features most enslaved robots can only dream about.
The Neato Botvac D7 has an embedded laser system to help it navigate through rooms. It can even map an area so it makes sure to find every nook and cranny. You can use the map to mark certain areas as "No-Go Zones" where cleaning is not necessary. It's allegedly good as a vacuum, too. Neato cites the "SpinFlow" cleaning technology as more efficient than other vacuums.
There's a Neato app for Android that lets you control the robot, and it even works on Android Wear. Assistant is supported via the Neato service, but you can also use Alexa, IFTTT, and the Neato Facebook bot to control the robot. If you want to lock this little robot in your house and make it clean, you can pick one up at Best Buy or Bed Bath & Beyond. It retails for a whopping $799.
