Mobile phones are ridiculously expensive these days, and consumers are often backed into a corner by carriers and retailers. There is a way of bringing the cost down, however, so long as you don't mind a few lock screen adverts and offers. That's the essence of Amazon Prime Exclusive Phones, which can be bought for considerably less than retail price, with the caveat being that Amazon kind of owns your lock screen, and can use it to try to sell you things.
Up to now the devices offered as part of the scheme have been usually budget to mid-rangers, with the Moto X4 being the biggest name on the roster. Until today, that is, when it was announced that LG would be joining the party and offering four different models, including its high-end G6 and G6+ phones.

As well as the flagship G range devices, the Q6 and X Charge are also available as Prime Exclusives, giving you a good range of different price points to choose from. You can see how the specs and prices match up in the chart below, which also has the Moto X4 for comparison. On the pricing, the G6+ is a full $300 below its MSRP, the G6 saves you $238, the Q6 is on for $70 less, and the X Charge is down by $50. The phones are unlocked, and you can see US network compatibility at the bottom of the table below.
You have to be an Amazon Prime member to make use of the deals, which means you'll probably be accustomed to having a few Amazon apps installed on your phone anyway. Whether or not you can stomach the lock screen advertising is up to you, and I can imagine it would bother people to varying extents.
The new additions from LG are available to pre-order right now on the Amazon Prime Exclusive site and shipments will begin next month. If you know what you want already, the individual links for each phone are:
