Hey kids, are you ready for another variant of another Samsung Galaxy Tab? *Deafening cheers* Alright, here we go. Today Samsung has announced a new version of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1" for the US Market, but it made one small modification: an added S Pen. Insert mean joke about Samsung having too many S Pens lying around after the Note 7 debacle and nowhere to sell them now.

The new Galaxy Tab A 10.1" has much of the same specs of the original tablet that was announced back in May in Germany and marketed for families with children. Like the name suggests, the screen is a 10.1" TFT LCD with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. The processor is the Exynos 7870 and under the hood there are 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with a MicroSD slot, a 7,300mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, an 8MP autofocus camera on the back and 2MP lens on the front.

The selling point though is the embedded S Pen with improved pressure sensitivity and a ballpoint pen writing experience. It borrows many of the features of the Note series of phones and tablets with writing, drawing, editing, translating and defining words, taking screenshots, and even GIF creating.

The updated Tab A 10.1" with S Pen will be available only in a WiFi variant starting October 28 at select retailers in the US including Samsung's own online store. It will be priced at $349.99.
