Apparently, Google couldn't wait a few more hours for their own event (9am PDT in California, by the way) and decided to leak their own phones via an advertisement in Canada. The ad is a minute long and doesn't show us much that we didn't know, save for an interesting URL at the end.
The video depicts the blank, white, rounded rectangle that Google included on its teaser website for the Pixels. Essentially, while the rectangle is getting stretched to the footprint of the Pixel, there are a ton of active and exciting things going on in the background. In the end, the footprint morphs into the "Quite Silver" Pixel and shows those action-packed events on the Pixel's AMOLED display.
At the end of the video, the URL google.com/phone appears. Currently, the link is dead, but that will definitely change after the event. Just a few more hours, guys.
