So, Samsung is set to relaunch sales of the Note7 next month on October 21st. That may also be the date of another important device popping up on store shelves—the LG V20. While LG has yet to comment, noted leaker of things Evan Blass says that's the date.

The V20 is supposed to be the first device to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat, but this new rumored date is only for the US. The device can come out in Korea and still satisfy the first in the world claim. And I'm sure that's what LG was planning on. We expect the Pixel phones to be announced in early October, but the ship date is unclear.

The V20 ditches the modular system that was such a massive flop on the G5, but it keeps the wide-angle secondary camera. The secondary display on the front is carried over from the V10. With Samsung's battery-related stumble, this could be LG's best chance in years to have a true hit on its hands.
