Fossil announced Q Wander and Q Marshal Android Wear watches way back in March, but neglected to provide basic details like release date or price. I'd almost given up hope they'd actually come out, but now the date has been set—both watches go on sale August 29th, but you can pre-order them this Friday.

The Q Wander and Q Marshal both have a 45mm case, just a touch smaller than the Q Founder. That's different than what Fossil told us a few months ago (they were supposed to be 44mm and 46mm watches). There aren't any new images, so we can't be sure what has changed. Previously, the Q Wander had a slimmer design with smaller lugs (left above), and the Q Marshal is a bit more robust looking (right above). They'll also have speakers, standard interchangeable straps, and a suite of activity tracking apps from Under Armor and UP built-in.

Both watches will start at $295, so the only difference is aesthetic. Pre-orders will be live this Friday (August 12th) on Fossil's website. You'll be able to get the watches at various retailers on release day.

UPDATE: 2016/09/01 9:26am PDT BY CORBIN DAVENPORT

None of the previous press material of both Fossil watches mentioned the processor they ran, but now we have an official confirmation. The Q Wander and Q Marshal will have a Snapdragon Wear 2100 under the hood, the second-gen Qualcomm processor made specifically for wearables that also powers ASUS' new ZenWatch 3.
