The OTAs have been rolling out since yesterday and as of today we can get some Nexus Factory Images fresh out of the oven. It's now time for AOSP to get caught up. Google is in the process of uploading Android 7.0 Nougat and its first official build NRD90M to the Android Open Source Project.

This is obviously a major version release, so there's quite a bit of code to transfer and that always takes quite a while. The process usually runs several hours and may not finish until tonight. We'll update this post when it looks like the upload is finished, at which point we can generate a changelog for closer examination.

Bill Yi confirms NRD90M device list

A post on the Android Building group by Bill Yi confirms the NRD90M build (tagged android-7.0.0_r1) is going up to AOSP. He also mentions all of the factory images, OTAs, and proprietary binaries are available for the Nexus 9, Nexus Player, and Pixel C.

While we wait, I suggest running out and taking the opportunity to sweeten up your day with a treat beginning with the letter 'N'. We won't blame you if your preference doesn't lean toward nougat. We totally get it.

And it should be finished

The upload seems to have finished up somewhere in the last hour or so. We'll have a changelog up shortly.
