Lenovo and Motorola announced the G4 and G4 Plus a few weeks ago, and today it appears Moto has published the kernel source for its latest high-end-of-the-low-end (or bottom of the mid-range?) handsets.

This is a pretty respectably rapid release of source code. The sister device of the G4 and G4 Plus, the G4 Play, is not yet out, but we'll let you know when the source drops for that, as well.

Motorola is expected to announce its latest flagship Moto device at Lenovo Tech World in San Francisco on Thursday, June 9th.
