Are you interested in picking up an LTE tablet, but the prospect of spending your own money on it is giving you cold feet? Well, T-Mobile customers can get one for free this weekend... sort of. The LG G Pad F 8.0 is usually a $240 tablet, but it's free after mail-in rebate right now.

As you might expect, there's some fine print here. You'll need to sign up with a new plan for the tablet with at least 1GB of data. It'll cost at least $10 per month if added to an existing account, and the line has to remain active until the rebate is processed. The tablet must be financed on a monthly installment plan as well. That works out to $10 per month, but you'll get the full $240 back in about 8 weeks as a prepaid MasterCard. If you want, you can then pay off the tablet. You could even cancel the data line if you wanted.

So at the end of the process, the tablet is free, although you still have to pay for service. Is it worth the hassle? This isn't the best tablet, but it might be fine for some. The LG G Pad F 8.0 has an 8-inch 1280x800 LCD, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and android 5.0. There's also a stylus built in. Any takers? The deal is valid through this Sunday only.
