Google Play supports all manner of payment options these days, but for many, carrier billing is still the easiest. You don't have to input any payment details or log into an external account. You just buy things and pay for them on your monthly bill. However, it requires carrier support. Customers on five more carriers will have the option now, according to Google's support site.

The newly added carriers on the Google Play carrier billing list include the following.

  • Austria: T-Mobile
  • Italy: Vodafone
  • Malaysia: Celcom
  • Switzerland: Sunrise
  • UK: Vodafone

Interestingly, Vodafone was available in the past. Support was suddenly dropped back in 2013 without explanation. Well, it's back in Italy and the UK now. The other carriers appear to be new. If you've got any questions about how this works, you'll have to bug your carrier.
