Today Gmail is getting Exchange support—

Yes, I know, Gmail has been handling Exchange accounts for quite a while. Users have been able to sign in to corporate email addresses since Gmail hit version 5.0. In case you haven't been counting, we're now at 6.4.

So what's going on? Well, let me finish my sentence. Today Gmail is getting Exchange support on non-Nexus devices.

Okay, yes, you've been able to do this by installing an extra APK. What's special now is support should be available out of the box.

That's something, right? All users should see this update within a matter of days, but the download is available below in case you really don't want to go about things the old way any longer.

Download

The APK is signed by Google and upgrades your existing app. The cryptographic signature guarantees that the file is safe to install and was not tampered with in any way. Rather than wait for Google to push this download to your devices, which can take days, download and install it just like any other APK.
