Bringing games to mobile phones has come with challenges. Touchscreens don't handle some genres as well as traditional controllers. Interface elements need to be large enough for fingertips. Some titles, frankly, feel shoehorned to fit on phones.

The Lifeline series of games are an exception. I don't mean these are three titles that are remarkably well adapted for small touch controls. This series offers an experience that only feels natural on a phone, and today you can get all three entries for 10 cents apiece.

Lifeline is a story-driven game from 3 Minute Games told through phone notifications. In the first title, you communicate with a man who is stranded following a crash landing on an alien moon. In Lifeline 2, you talk with a woman seeking to avenge her parents and rescue her brother. In Lifeline: Silent Night, you continue where the original game left off.

You determine the endings based on the decisions you help each character make. With the latter two entries, you can read updates and respond via Android Wear.

There are no in-app purchases to slow down the experience. Hit up the widgets below to grab each game while you can.
