If you happen to own an Android phone or tablet that works with USB On-The-Go (OTG) for external storage, you'd probably like some storage gadgets that can take advantage of it. Combo drives - standard USB on one side, MicroUSB on the other - have been on the market for years, but they're not easy to find and they usually carry a premium over more conventional designs. Today Amazon is offering a 32GB combo drive from Corsair, which is also compatible with USB 3.0 ports on the standard side, for just even.

Twelve bucks is a pretty good deal even for a normal flash drive at that capacity - the MicroUSB and USB 3.0 compatibility is just icing on the cake. If you also happen to be an Amazon Prime subscriber, you'll get free shipping along with the bargain. This appears to be a fairly limited sale; even the smaller 16GB version of the same flash drive is more expensive at the moment. We don't know when the price will go back up, so get an order in quickly if you want one.

It's worth pointing out that this sort of dual device won't be necessary after USB Type C becomes more firmly established. A phone with a USB Type C port will be able to use the same flash drive as a PC with a Type C port. There are already a few on the market, and some even have the dual-port design seen above - standard full-sized USB on one side, USB Type C on the other.

It looks like the $12 stock is sold out. The same drive is now $13.59, which is still a pretty good deal, though Amazon Prime shipping is gone too.
