Alcatel's unannounced Idol 4S and Idol 4 leaked via its own website recently, but it's not just the phones that are important this time; the packaging is also of note. According to Evan "@evleaks" Blass at Venture Beat, the Idol 4S packaging will double as a Google Cardboard viewer.

The 5.5-inch Idol 4S will apparently ship in a hard plastic box (seen above) that becomes a cardboard viewer once you take the phone and accessories out. Considering most Cardboard viewers are made out of actual cardboard, this could be a rather high quality one by comparison. It's a clever extra for a phone that's expected to cost under $400. It's also nice that the packaging will be good for something rather than becoming trash instantly.

Both the 4 and the 4S used the "Your world augmented" tagline on Alcatel's site, so it's possible both phones will have this neat packaging feature. The Venture Beat article only explicitly says the 4S will have it, though. Alcatel is expected to announce both phones at MWC 2016 and begin selling them in May.
