Instagram, that bastion of selfies and food snapshots, is getting a new feature this week in the form of easy account switching. This will be old news to some people who got the feature a few months ago, but now everyone gets to switch between multiple accounts in the app.

This is a server-side change that will work in v7.15 of the app or higher. The wording is a little odd in the announcement post, saying that the feature will be part of  v7.15. However, the Play Store version is already up to 7.16 and it doesn't immediately enable multi-account for everyone.

Once it's enabled, you'll be able to tap your username at the top of your profile to switch accounts. Your profile photo will be used throughout the app to remind you which account you have selected. You can expect the change to be live for everyone in a few days.
