The Google Photos app had some cool sharing features when it was released back in May, but now it's getting even better at sharing. Google has announced the addition of shared albums to Photos (announced a few months ago), and it's available today on Android, iOS, and web.

It's easy to set up a shared album—just select some photos and use the share menu to create the album. You can send the link to anyone you like, and they'll be able to access it using the Photos app on Android or iOS, or on the website. You can choose whether or not you want others to be able to upload their own photos or just view the ones you share. Those who have joined the album will get notifications when new photos are added, and if you allow others to upload photos, you can save them to your main library.

Google says the feature is rolling out today. We didn't get a new version of Photos yesterday on update Wednesday, so maybe they're just a day late on that.
