Are you looking for something creepy to set the mood while you wait for the sun to go down on Halloween? Alternately, are you looking for something to do while you wait for your hangover to go away on Sunday morning? Sanitarium, a game originally released for the PC way back in 1998 and now revived by the mobile port experts at DotEmu, should fit the bill. It's been published to the Play Store with impeccable timing, and you can pick it up now for $3.99 with no ads or in-app purchases.

Sanitarium is a point-and-click adventure game set in that most classic of horror movie settings, a creepy insane asylum. You arrive after a car accident with no memory of how you got there, or anything else, including your name. As you roam the corridors of the sanitarium (roll credits!), the real world and your tortured delusions mix, often killing the player-character and forcing him to restart the chapter.

We've made no secret of our love for DotEmu's Android ports, so this is an easy recommendation for anyone who's a fan of either horror games or the point-and-click puzzle/narrative structure. The port includes full touch and mouse-style controls, fullscreen graphics or the original 4:3 aspect ratio, and full English, French, and German voice acting. Unfortunately it isn't available for Android TV.
