Minecraft: Story Mode

Android Police coverage: Minecraft: Story Mode From TellTale Games Launches On Google Play And The Amazon Appstore

Minecraft doesn't lend itself towards storytelling. That's kind of the point - it's basically a digital sandbox. But if anyone can tell a good story with Minecraft's building blocks, it's TellTale. The first episode of the developer's highly-anticipated Story Mode adventure series is now on the Play Store, complete with a themed game world and some top-notch voice acting. Each episode costs $5, or you can unlock the entire season for an additional $15 and get one free.

In this five part episodic series, play as either a male or female hero named 'Jesse,' and embark on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond. You and your friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect; slayers of the Ender Dragon. While at EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior, you and your friends discover that something is wrong… something dreadful.

Prune

Android Police coverage: Beautiful, Atmospheric Puzzle Game 'Prune' Springs Forth From The Play Store

Prune is about pruning trees (not about prunes). In this stylized "zen" game it's your job to chop off specific parts of a tree as it grows to let it bloom in the light and avoid obstacles. It's also beautiful, the sumi-egraphics flowing across the screen in an almost soothing fashion. It's kind of like having a tiny little bonsai tree on your phone... without the time commitment. Prune is $4 with no ads or in-app purchases.

Prune is a love letter to trees. A game about the beauty and joy of cultivation. With a swipe of a finger, grow and shape your tree into the sunlight while avoiding the dangers of a hostile world. Bring life to a forgotten landscape, and uncover a story hidden deep beneath the soil.

Android Police coverage: Cloud Chasers Takes You On A Randomly Generated Steampunk Journey Through The Desert

Cloud Chasers is a story-driven, top-down action game about the journey of a father and daughter. The gameplay isn't going to make your heart pound, but that's okay - it's the atmosphere you're interested in here. The survival mechanic uses a random generation system, so you'll have to manage your resources carefully as you cross the fantasy desert. The same system generates story-based encounters as you go along.

Guide a small family through five deadly deserts to reach the gateway to the world above the clouds. It's a dangerous journey filled with a multitude of unique narrative encounters. Make your decisions wisely, manage your resources, use equipment to your advantage and fill up your precious water reserves by flying through the clouds with your trusty glider. Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom

Android Police coverage: Sonic Dash 2, A Free Endless Runner Based On The Sonic Boom Franchise, Is Now Live In The Play Store

The first Sonic Boom games on consoles and portables was a definite bust, but SEGA seems confident enough in the IP that they've attacked it to the Sonic Dash endless runner. This pseudo-sequel adds new abilities and some impressive graphics, plus the ability to switch characters at special parts of the stage (they kind of work like off-ramps). The usual freemium caveats apply, and you'll need some powerful hardware to run the game at full speed.

The dazzling sequel to SEGA’s hit endless runner, SONIC DASH. Featuring the cast and world of the new TV series, SONIC BOOM. New and amazing 3D worlds, challenges and game play. Play as Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Sonic’s new friend, Sticks. Let’s do this.

  • RACE with up to three characters in new Team Play mode. Swap runners mid-race to earn high scores
  • UNLEASH new special powers - Sonic’s Dash Ring Magnet, Knuckle’s Slam, Amy’s Ring Hammer, and more

American Dad! Pinball

Android Police coverage: Zen Studios Releases Bob's Burgers, Archer, Family Guy, And American Dad Pinball Games

American Dad is another show that's made by that guy who's been stirring the pot for Family Guy for the last decade. The difference is that it's actually entertaining. That probably doesn't affect the play of the Zen Pinball table in the slightest, but it does mean the shout-outs and character animations are a bit more relevant and funny. Like the rest of Zen's tables you can buy it in a stand-alone app or as an IAP in the main Zen Pinball game.

Step into the weird world of the Smith Family and embark on crazy adventures with your favorite characters from the hit TV show American Dad. Help Stan keep his country safe and his family sane, by any means necessary. In American Dad Pinball, you’ll explore the Smith family residence and Roger's Place in a frantic mini-playfield, bullseye shots with Stan at the Fun N' Gun Shooting range in a first-person mini-game, assume Roger's various Personas in different game modes, and manipulate the National Threat Level, changing the way missions will play out.

Archer Pinball

Android Police coverage: Zen Studios Releases Bob's Burgers, Archer, Family Guy, And American Dad Pinball Games

Archer is probably the best licensed show in the latest round of Zen Pinball tables, if only because it requires a level of audience attention that Fox simply won't allow on broadcast TV. The music alone would make it worth a buy for serious fans of the cable cartoon, but the incredibly faithful 3D versions of the main characters are impressive. They make me wish for a TellTale series starring the show's dysfunctional cast of spies and office workers. The tablet is also available in the main Zen Pinball app.

Throw yourself into the spy life with the world's greatest secret agent and his coworkers at the Agency. Fight on top of a moving train, take part in a shootout at the local spa, and evade the yakuza in a frantic car chase. Ride into a zone of... Wait a minute, I swear I had something for this... The Archer Pinball app features frantic and hilarious action, including authentic voiceovers and sound effects from the TV show, multiple mini-playfields with a unique progression system, unique achievements, and hotseat multiplayer so you can compete with your friends.

Bob's Burgers Pinball

Android Police coverage: Zen Studios Releases Bob's Burgers, Archer, Family Guy, And American Dad Pinball Games

Bob's Burgers is the latest cartoon to appear on Fox's Sunday night animation. It's a little different in tone and content to the usual Simpsons-style stuff, and that's probably why it's gained a large following so quickly. That, and the fact that it stars H. Jon Benjamin (the same guy who does the voice for Archer). The Bob's Burgers table is available as a stand-alone game or as a separate purchase in Zen Pinball.

Order up. Bob's Burgers is open and ready for business. Team up with Bob, Linda, Gene, Louise, and Tina as they work to make their restaurant the best burger joint in town, and join in on the fun when Bob's Burgers closes for the night. Meet the Belcher family for the first time ever in 3D on the Bob’s Burgers Pinball table, featuring an innovative day and night cycle with over 15 game modes based on episodes from the show.

Family Guy Pinball

Android Police coverage: Zen Studios Releases Bob's Burgers, Archer, Family Guy, And American Dad Pinball Games

This is a pinball game. It's themed after Family Guy, the favorite "grown-up" cartoon (at least in the sense that children aren't supposed to watch it) of frat boys and stoners all over the country. You can buy it, but you really shouldn't, at least when the other three options above are also available for purchase.

Experience Quahog like never before in Family Guy Pinball. Help Chris catch the Evil Monkey that’s been living in his closet, team up with Peter as he goes head-to-head with the Giant Chicken, work with Stewie to save Rupert from a fiery death, and more. Get ready for a “Freakin’ Sweet” pinball table. In Family Guy Pinball, get ready to relive iconic gags and moments from Family Guy episodes, activate unique character-themed modes for the entire Griffin family, as well as play fun side quests featuring the Quahog 5 News team, Bertram, Consuela, and more.

NBA 2K16

Android Police coverage: NBA 2K16 Is Now Available In The Play Store For Eight Bucks, With In-App Purchases And Weird Compatibility

Another year, another entry in 2K's basketball franchise. This one doesn't change too much on top of the usual graphics and roster updates, though you can play with Euroleague teams in the standard and career modes. The game's soundtrack is curated by DJ Mustard (among others), who appears to be a real person who chose that name for himself. The game is a heavy $8 plus in-app purchases, and at the moment device compatibility is quite spotty.

The NBA 2K franchise is back with the most-true to life NBA experience to date with NBA 2K16. NBA 2K16 is packed with enhancements, new features, updated rosters, and more opportunities to earn Virtual Currency. NBA 2K16 also includes the popular MyCAREER mode as well as a new soundtrack curated by pop super-producer DJ Mustard, renowned producer and rapper DJ Khaled, and legendary hip-hop producer DJ Premier.

Ghosts of Memories

Ghosts of Memories isn't shy about it's story-focused puzzle game inspiration - there's a lot of Monument Valley DNA in there. (That's not a bad thing, mind you.) This one focuses on an ethereal science fiction world with some absolutely fantastic 2D graphics and voice acting thrown in for the heck of it. The game essentially uses adventure-puzzle structure to advance, but the real hook is the story. It's $3 with no in-app purchases.

Ghosts of Memories is an adventure puzzle game located in 4 stunningly beautiful worlds. In Ghosts of Memories you will explore the lands of ancient civilizations, full of undiscovered paths and mysterious puzzles based on tricky tiles. Think logically to solve all the quests and puzzles on your journey.

  • Beautiful graphics - 2.5-D isometric perspective that combines the details of 2-D artwork with many functionalities of a 3-D environment.
  • Unique sound effects - the background music was composed specifically for Ghosts of Memories, and creates an atmosphere as you find your way to your destination by overcoming a series of puzzles. Use headphones to get the best experience.
  • Gameplay experience - Carefully designed gameplay will provide you with engaging and demanding experiences, full of unexpected solutions.

Viva Sancho Villa

Pancho Villa was a Mexican revolutionary who also fought against the US government. Sancho Villa is... well, he's basically a Dia De Los Muertos cartoon version of the same guy who inexplicably must beat the crap out of a bunch of monsters in a fanciful runner game. The mechanics of Viva Sancho Villa are an interesting mix of simple runners and more complex brawlers like Guacamelee, but the unique character designs and fantastic animation are the real draws.

Viva Sancho Villa is a Mexican hack & slash action adventure platformer, where you play as the revolutionary hero Sancho Villa. Using your bonecrushing machete and legendary revolvers, liberate Magico’s land from the corrupted forces of evil in this revolutionary saga of war and folklore. Get immersed in a surreal world of music, traditions, mythology, arts and crafts while you travel through colorful towns, dangerous fields, uprising villages, haunted forests and much more. V

Magic Flute: Puzzle Adventure

At its core Magic Flute is a sliding block puzzle overlaid with a bit of platforming. But it's the atmosphere that you're going to want to bite into - the story is a sort of pastel-soaked version of a Mozart opera. With just 32 levels interconnected with cutscenes it's not particularly deep, but the unique graphics and open-ended structure should see you through.

Enter the Kingdom of the Queen of the Night. Start your journey through the lands of mystery and magic as prince Tamino. Choose your steps wisely, build your path avoiding traps, deadly serpents or earth quakes. But know no fear, lose no hope and remember that you are the master of your own path. Solve 32 spatial puzzles placed in a beautiful scenery of Mozart’s ‘Magic Flute’ opera. Armed only in logic, imagination and integrity help Tamino find wisdom, beauty and save the love of his life.

The Balloons

The Balloons is an endless runner with a vertical twist: you control a balloon (or a rock on a string, or a slice of pizza, or any number of other non-floaty things) as it floats vertically. Your only job is to avoid the various pointy objects in your way. The premise is simple, but those who appreciate a runner that's mostly focused on cosmetic unlocks will have some fun. The art is pixelated and the music is of the "chiptune" variety.

The Balloons are coming in the world’s first endless floater. Join our heroes Blue, Unicorn, Ghost, Frog and even Dead Bird and avoid obstacles like deadly spikes, dastardly dart shooters, and even flying ninja stars. Collect as many coins as possible on your way to some seriously mind-blowing high scores. Aim for the stars or pop trying.

Herald of Oblivion

Tin Man is back with another one of their signature game-books, this time set in the the popular Warhammer 40,000 universe. I know absolutely nothing about 40K aside from the chainsaw-swords, but players of the tabletop games should appreciate the unique mix of text-based storytelling and RPG combat. The developers have really done some great things with the license - check out the Warhammer-themed interface that's been applied to the usual pen-and-paper UI.

You are a veteran Space Marine of the Imperial Fists Chapter. Equipped with powerful Terminator armour and armed with the deadliest weapons that the Adeptus Astartes wield, you are a symbol of the Emperor's might. Trapped aboard the space hulk Herald of Oblivion and the only survivor of your squad, you must fight your way through the aliens and heretics that infest the star vessel and find a way to escape the horror and return to your Chapter.

DARIUSBURST -SP-

Dariusburst is a PlayStation Portable adaptation of a little-known side-scrolling shooter series that goes all the way back to the 1980s. The Android version features all of the bullet hell action you expect from this kind of game, adapted for touchscreens and with some extra enemies thrown in for good measure. The Android version includes high-end graphics (so make sure your hardware can handle it), but unfortunately there's no mention of external controller support. The game is almost $7 with no in-app purchases.

The DARIUS(SAGAIA) series made shooting game history with its unique atmosphere and sound design, and now the latest installment, DARIUSBURST, is available for Android. Featuring fully optimized controls and added content. Based on the critically acclaimed handheld console game DARIUSBURST, this smartphone edition boasts intuitive, responsive controls optimized especially for touchscreens. This edition also includes a variety of smartphone/Android-exclusive bonuses.

Snail Bob 2

In Snail Bob2, you play a snail. Named Bob. Well, maybe "play" isn't the right word - you guide him through some surprisingly treacherous levels with a series of taps, using the environment to dispose of enemies and clear a path for the hapless little guy. Extra content for completionists includes hidden stars and costumes. The game is $3 for 90 levels, which is more than reasonable, and there are no ads or in-app purchases.

Bob is a snail who needs your help to traverse dangerous obstacles and avoid bug baddies. Bob will simply crawl onwards regardless of the situation, and your job is to press buttons, activate machines and fill deadly gaps to keep this snail trailing. Snail Bob 2 is the perfect game for parents to play with kids, sussing out the solutions together and having a ton of fun through.

Subterfuge

Subterfuge is a minimalist strategy game - minimalist in its graphics and UI, not in its actual depth. It's a bit like a mix of Civilization and an intense board game, with online multiplayer sessions lasting an entire week. Your actions and the reactions of the game world take quite some time, so paying it a lot of attention won't necessarily net you the win. Subterfuge is free to download, but a single $10 purchase is required to unlock all game modes and features.

Subterfuge is a week-long multiplayer game of strategy and diplomacy that plays out in real time. Gather intelligence, coordinate with other players, issue orders, and influence how the game unfolds. Itror - In The Right Order

Itor, short for "in the right order," is a digital adaptation of the old Simon Says electronic game you might remember from elementary school. Just keep track of which colored icon you tap and in which order and see how far you can go. The developer gets some surprising longevity out of the concept with power-up modifiers and three different game modes. Itor is free with a single $3 IAP to unlock the full game and apply multiple modes at once.

Don't let the colours deceive you. This game gets hard. Really hard. Every round you will have to remember one more object. At the end you have to recall the correct sequence of 35 icons. After the 35th round there will be two bonus rounds: 'Double or Nothing' and 'Back to Front'. In 'Double or Nothing' you have to repeat the 35th round. If you manage to do that your score gets doubled. In 'Back to Front' you have to go into reverse. The last icon in the sequence is now the first. And the first is now the last icon to leave the board.

LEGO® DC Super Heroes

LEGO is branching out its super hero games. While all of them up to now have been pretty tame exploration-adventure games (which are more or less impossible to lose), this DC-flavored entry is more of a 3D fighter with tag-team elements. It's super-simple - don't expect Tekken-style moves - but entertaining enough if you'd like something a little more twitchy than the usual fair. The only thing I wish it had was a bit more voice acting for the various heroes and villains.

Form the ultimate super hero squad with the heroes of DC Comics’ Justice League and take down evil in this three-against-three Heroes Vs Villains tag-team battle arcade game. Team up to become a powerful fighting force and defeat the wrath of the wickedest comic book villains. Experience the epic events of this all-action battle game alongside your super hero team and become the ultimate fighting force. It’s time to take on evil.

LEGO® Speed Champions

It looks like LEGO has graduated from licensing every superhero and blockbuster movie they can find - now they're working on LEGO versions of real-world race cars. This game takes the LEGO-fied Ferraris, Porches, and McLarens into a digital racing game. It's a bit simple, with a top-down interface that isn't much more than steering, and there's no multiplayer option to be found. At least it looks nice, and like most LEGO games, it's free with no in-app purchases.

Get behind the wheels of the fastest cars on the planet in the action-packed arcade game, LEGO® Speed Champions. This is your invite to the ultimate speed championship. Put the pedal to the metal, speed past your opponents and complete awesome challenges to secure your place on the winner’s podium.

  • Take control of the sports cars you’ve always dreamed of racing
  • Choose from 6 vehicles including a racing red Ferrari, world class McLaren Mercedes or powerful Porsche 911
  • Face three different challenges every time – no race is the same.
  • Collect studs, stars and racer trophies to unlock brand new challenges.

Fallen

Fallen combines elements of pinball and pachinko for an interesting twitch game. Your "paddle" is just a circle with three colors: match the facing color to the balls as they fall to score points. It requires more concentration than you might initially guess, and the 2D graphics are colorful and appealing. Fallen is free with a $1 in-app purchase to unlock all power-ups.

Tap to spin, match to win. Fallen is a beautifully minimal and shockingly fun reaction game. As you hit higher scores you’ll transition through evolving worlds, with challenging pin formations, gravity strengths and adrenaline pumping music. Features:

• Beautifully minimal artwork

• Immersive music and sound effects

• Addictively simple gameplay

• Exciting power-ups help you hit higher scores

• Upgrade your powerups to hit even higher scores.

MiniPix

This endless runner-shooter doesn't offer much in terms of new gameplay, but what it lacks in diversity it makes up for in variety. Every few seconds the world shifts, changing the stage, the enemies, and your player-character to match. You'll notice some familiar faces (or at least pixelated representations of familiar faces) as you shift between universes. This is the free version, but you can get the same game without ads for a little more than a buck fifty.

Jump, shoot and go as far as possible with this game, fun, easy to learn and very, very addictive. Get ready to test a totally different game. Have a try and you won't be able to leave this environment pixel and these crazy characters .

- A Quick start ;

- An Optimum playability ;

- An Atmosphere so old school;

- An infinite gameplay.

ZAGA

Zaga is a simple little twitch game wherein you control two lines. Tap the screen and they'll change direction by 90 degrees, crossing each other in the center of the screen. Tap again and they'll reverse. The only objective is to avoid the walls and periodic obstacles and, if possible, grab some dots Pac-Man-style. It's much harder than it looks - you'll need to divide your attention to conquer. Multiple themes can be applied after leveling up.

ZAGA begins. A gorgeous combination of quick reactions and stunning visuals for you to zig and zag your way through. From the creators of Smove, comes the next classic arcade game. Two lines bounce back and forth. Can you control them? Tap to change directions, match the colors to collect points, and definitely definitely avoid the obstacles. Collect orbs to unlock new themes. From the far reaches of space, to the calming waves of the sea, zag your way through uncharted environments.

Trick Shot

Trick Shot is a simple puzzle game that combines a bunch of elements from the more popular physics games that have come out in the last few years. Combine the tools in the stage to get the ball into the target - that's it. The game is $2 with no in-app purchases.

A game where all you have to do is throw a ball into a box, simple? Trick Shot is a minimalist physics puzzler with 90 levels and an infinite supply of bouncy balls to get that perfect shot.

Wonky Ship

In this casual game the only point is to keep your ship steering forward, avoiding a black hole and any asteroids that might come your way. All you get to complete this task is left and right thrusters. The setup feels a lot like Flappy Bird thanks to its arbitrary difficulty, but with better 3D graphics.

What’s all the fuss about? You are a daring intergalactic pilot, desperately trying to outmaneuver the ravenous pull of a plasma-fueled black hole. You will weave, dodge, cuss, flip, and roll like you’ve never done in a video game before. And then…you WILL die. A lot. Trust us on this. Like really, really die…a lot. From the deeply twisted minds who brought you Halos and Might & Mayhem, prepare to experience one of the most intense, addictive, and challenging arcade games ever created.

Bike Unchained

Normally an extreme (or possibly Xtreme) sports game from an energy drink wouldn't be worth mentioning, but this entry from Red Bull looks surprisingly decent. It's a bike game with a mix of Trials and endless runner gameplay, and both the graphics and the presentation seem to be pretty solid. It uses the standard freemium/IAP model (which is odd - you'd think Red Bull would be used to charging $3 for $1 worth of content). Warning: may contain dubstep.

Shred sweet trails, get the coolest bikes, build your crew and travel the world’s mountains riding against your ultimate rival - Team Praedor - as you battle for a top spot on the podium. Fearlessly ride your way through epic trails that combine Enduro, Downhill and Slopestyle Mountain Biking. Full of killer tricks, awesome freestyle action and insane stunts, Bike Unchained is a high paced racing adventure - it’s the evolution of mountain biking on mobile.

Blood Bowl: Kerrunch

Blood Bowl is a series of fantasy-themed board games that apply RPG combat to an American football setup. There's already a full Blood Bowl game available on Android, but this is a more casual affair, simplifying the complex combat down to lanes that can only be crossed one at a time. Games are short and sweet (if you can say that about a bunch of orcs, dwarves, and trolls), and online multiplayer is included. Unfortunately, early players say that bugs and intrusive ads ruin the experience.

Crunching football, but with fully armored Orcs, Skaven, Dwarfs, Humans and, even, Wood Elves... Do we really need to say more? Blood will flow; bones will be crushed... and, after all that, someone might even score a touchdown. Inspired by the Warhammer world, Blood Bowl: Kerrunch is an addictive, fast-paced, ultra-violent combination of strategy and sports... It's also, most likely, the best sport ever invented.

I Love Potatoes

This charming little kid's game mixes elements of Animal Crossing and, well, potatoes. As you guide your player-character through a series of locations you'll get educated on social and environmental issues. It probably won't hold the attention of adults for very long, but parents can load it up on a tablet and be confident that their kids won't be bombarded with ads or in-app purchases.

Welcome to Potatoland, where our hero, Chips, and his fellow citizens feed potatoes to the Potato Monster in order to get their food, supplies and luxury items. But when the beast suddenly collapses and all the potatoes disappear, Chips and his friends are lost with no idea how to survive. That’s where YOU come in. By helping Chips work quickly to make more friends, follow clues and think creatively, you’ll teach him new ways to solve old problems and save his community.

TRIVIAL PURSUIT & Friends

Trivial Pursuit has been around for a lot longer than most of our readers, and it looks like the owners are tired of seeing pretenders to the crown rake in the dough with mobile games. So they've teamed up with Gameloft to make a multiplayer social-focused smartphone version of the classic game... plus in-app purchases. Well, duh.

The fun is anything but trivial in the famous and completely revamped TRIVIAL PURSUIT. The king of all trivia games now has an updated look and loads of new ways to compete.

• Events: Take on a brand-new, specially themed quiz every week, like ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE., FASHIONISTA, SPORTS CHAMPS, and DO YOU LIKE CHILI PEPPERS?

RAD Boarding

RAD Boarding is a snowboarding game with some high aspirations. Unfortunately there isn't much to recommend it beyond the graphics - the one-touch gameplay gets old quickly, and the endless runner setup doesn't offer anything new. You can try your luck at landing tricks like a single-player version of SSX, but that's about it.

RAD Boarding is an apocalyptic snowboarding game jam-packed with 90's flair. Perform gnarly tricks and fight crazy boss battles as you race against the end of the world. With epic visuals and tons of items to collect, RAD Boarding lets you ride out the Apocalypse in style. On top of stunning visuals, simple and intuitive controls, and phat 90s sounds, RAD Boarding is packed full of features.

Trivia Crack Kingdoms

Trivia Crack is a fairly standard quiz game, but it takes the social elements found in former hits like Draw Something and dials it up to 11. The game's unlocks are a series of character animations, I has a built-in social network and chat client, and each player gets a personal profile. On top of all that you can create custom trivia categories and pick new ones that are generated regularly. The monetization system is timer-based, so you'll have to wait or pay at some point.

Explore the new Kingdom of Trivia Crack and challenge your friends, family and classmates in trivia channels based on your favorite topics. Discover what's trending among your friends and take a crack at outsmarting them in their own interests. Play in tons of awesome trivia channels. From sports teams to pop stars, from TV shows to the latest Greenpeace global campaign, there's a channel to follow for every field of knowledge imaginable.

Raid Brigade

Raid Brigade is a fairly standard top-down action-RPG that throws in a base-builder element for good measure. There are a couple of novel features: you control a party of up to four characters at once, all engaging in real-time combat, and the builder mechanic is much more customizable and open-ended than usual. But it suffers from a predictable glut of in-app purchases that go up to $100.

Your father’s kingdom has been destroyed, do you have what it takes to rebuild and reclaim your former glory? Control your party of legendary fighters. Conquer enemies, earn treasure, and build your kingdom to rise to the top of the leaderboards. On your adventure, unlock archers, melee fighters, and casters to make your heroes unstoppable in battle. Strategically build a team of four heroes to defend your kingdom and conquer enemy cities.

SNIPER X WITH JASON STATHAM

Jason Statham, headliner of innumerable action B-movies, should never go into a sniper battle. Look at that guy, he's approximately 60% forehead - anyone with a scope could pick him off from five miles away. Even so, Glu is hoping to revitalize its Sniper series (which is basically Silent Scope with in-app purchases) with some star power. Prepare to pay up if you want to reach the end of the story, such as it is.

As the one and only Sniper X, you’ll team up with action star Jason Statham to become the free world’s ultimate weapon against the forces of chaos and terror. As part of the Statham’s elite paramilitary team SPEAR, you’ll work side by side to dismantle terrorists and rogue states that conventional forces can’t touch.

• Study the art of the kill under SPEAR’s commander, voiced by action star Jason Statham.

• As Sniper X, you’ll take on hundreds of military missions in incredible 3D environments

• Innovative upgrades make your sniper rifle into a truly customized killing machine

• Zoom in and slow down time with Focus, built in to every sniper rifle

Game development is often grueling thanks to small staffs, short timelines, and miniscule budgets... but even the most abused game developer would probably prefer it to being a flesh-eating zombie. The protagonist of this game doesn't have a choice, but he continues to work his thankless job even after he's collected his life insurance. It's your job to keep him productive while he works. If you manage to, um, manage him well enough, you'll get to play the 80s arcade ripoffs he's been making.

Even the most terrible of brain diseases and death don't cure a man's passion. Thus, our undead hero does in his reanimated state what he did best in life: develop games. But this time, with an attitude - slow decay does that to a zombie. You may not think it, but a zombie has his needs, so it's up to you to keep him happy and working by giving him brains, coffee or even plastic **ahem** dolls.
