Listen up kids, I'm going to tell you something and it will hurt. But sooner or later, you'll have to face the harsh realities of life and I'd rather you hear it from me than some stranger or inconsiderate relative.

Apps and games are not here forever. They come to your phone or tablet or computer for a period of time, they bring joy into your life and you spend hours and days with them. You love them and they love you back (sometimes just your money). Then there comes a time, when they've done their deed and their line codes start decaying and no one wants to take care of them anymore, to let them go. They find a better place in software heaven, with all the other apps and games that have gone before them. They're no longer with us, but they'll always be special to you (or not). You'll find other apps and games to love and cherish, and one day, they might go too. That, kids, is the cycle of development.

Today we bid our last adieu to ten games from Disney. They're joined by many more for PCs and iOS, but we were never close with that side of the family so we're not too bereaved by their absence. The Android games are:

  • Disney Bola Soccer
  • Disney Hidden Worlds
  • Disney Infinity: Action!
  • Gravity Falls Mystery Shack Attack
  • Lost Light
  • STAR WARS™: Assault Team
  • STAR WARS™: Tiny Death Star
  • The Great Piggy Bank Adventure
  • Toy Story: Smash It!
  • Where's My Water? Featuring XYY

The titles have completely disappeared from their home on the Play Store (like so, so, and so). But if you previously had a tight relationship with them, you may still feel their presence around you — or, y'know, still have access to download them in your apps list.

May their code lines, graphics, and IAPs rest in peace.
