You've probably heard of TuneIn. It's that app that some kids these days think of as the radio (not to be confused with the static that old people are still able to get their cars to produce). TuneIn lets you stream stations from all over the world, regardless of how far outside of their coverage area you may be.

Now the company is rolling out TuneIn Premium for $7.99 a month. For your money, you get access to over 40,000 audiobooks. You know, because paying for novels individually has apparently become old-school.

TuneIn Premium also comes with over 600 commercial-free music stations. This may just be the kind of move that pulls some users away from the likes of Pandora, but probably not Spotify or Play Music.

Then there's live coverage of every Major League Baseball game. Not your sport? Well, TuneIn Premium also comes with play-by-play coverage of Barclays Premier League and Bundesliga matches.

TuneIn Premium is not exclusively available in the US. Our Canadian neighbors can sign up for $8.99 CAD a month. Folks in the UK can get in on the action for £5.99.

Inhabitants of the aforementioned countries can start a 30-day free trial over at tunein.com/premium. Here's the press release with a more detailed overview of what to expect.
