Using LastPass on anything more mobile than a PC used to be a perk reserved exclusively for paying customers. We couldn't call it all that much of a luxury, considering that at $12 a year, LastPass Premium costs about as much as a short trip on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. But now you won't even have to pay that much to start managing your passwords on your Android phone or tablet.
Users who sign up for LastPass can use the service on an unlimited number of smartphones or tablets—but not both. To switch from a phone to something bigger, including PC, will require going premium. Likewise, if you start on a tablet, you will have to continue using tablets if you don't want to cough up any money.
LastPass still offers a 14-day free trial if you want to try out the password manager on a form factor other than the one you got started on. As for existing users, well, continue as you were.
