There's a lot to cover on Update Wednesdays, so sometimes things slip onto Thursdays. Some of you have already played around with these files, but here's an overview of what has changed.
Google Docs and Slides now let you insert images directly into your reports and presentations. You can import photos from your gallery or snap one on the spot.
When it comes to presentations, you can double tap images to enter crop mode. From there, drag any of the edges to get things to the right size. Or you can mold images into specific shapes.
All these functions should continue to work when you slip offline.
The latest version of Drive lets you view completed form data using the PDF Viewer. And of course, you have your performance improvements. As for Sheets, there's just general performance improvements. Nothing too exciting.
Links for everything are available below. Note, there are variants of these apps. .30 is universal. .33, .34, .35, and .36 are for specific densities and are usually smaller. It's safe to download .30 or the version that comes with your device.
Each APK is signed by Google and upgrades your existing app. The cryptographic signature guarantees that the file is safe to install and was not tampered with in any way. Rather than wait for Google to push this download to your devices, which can take days, download and install it just like any other APK.
