Google has announced a new version of Chrome for Android is hitting the stable release channel, and this one is a rather big deal for a few reasons. There are some interesting features, but it's also the last release for Ice Cream Sandwich. At least there's some good stuff.
Here's the changelog for Chrome v42 on Android.

- Adding your favorite sites to your homescreen is now even easier.
- Bug fixes and speedy performance improvements.
We've already posted about the site notifications and home screen web app shortcuts separately when they were in beta, so check those out for all the details. The new version isn't live in the Play Store just yet, but it should start rolling out today.
