- 1 Know A Worthy New App? Let Us Know!
Slayin is an old-school action-platformer, right down to the three-button interface. The Cinemascope view might be distracting for a lot of gamers, but it's certainly an interesting presentation - almost like a digital version of the Game & Watch. While your skills and weapons will improve as you go, the format is a standard roguelike; each player-character can only die once. Small in-app purchases will give you temporary boosts.
Slayin will test your skills like no other endless game on the Google Play Store. Don’t get yourself fooled by its charming retro graphics and motivating chiptune soundtrack. In this game, death lurks behind every corner. Your task sounds all so simple. First choose from one of three heroes: knight, wizard and knave. Then slay as many monsters as possible, while leveling up and getting more powerful equipment and spells along the way. But there’s a catch: once you die, you’re gone for good.
Doodle Army 2 : Mini Militia
Doodle Army 2 is a MOBA that combines old-school 2D platforming with the quick-and-dirty structure of modern shooters. While you're more than welcome to sharpen your skills in the offline mode, the real meat of the game is the online multiplayer. While the game is a little on the pokey side (learning to control your character's rocket boots isn't easy), it's gained quite a following on iOS... where it's been available for years. Thanks, devs. In-app purchases for currency are present, but not as bad as some other games.
Experience intense multiplayer combat with up to 6 players online or using local wi-fi. Train with the Sarge and sharpen your skills in offline Training, Co-op and Survival modes. Shoot a multitude of weapon types including the sniper, shotgun and flamethrower. Features explosive online and local multiplayer warfare. Intuitive dual stick shooting controls. Open world maps utilizing rocket boots for extended vertical flight. Zoom control, melee attacks and dual wield ability with modern and futuristic heavy duty weapons and grenades.
Alien Star Menace
Alien Star Menace is a charming little tactical strategy game with a pixelated sci-fi theme. The story is simple: your ship is being invaded by aliens. You must kill said aliens, then hop over to alien planets to kill more aliens. A wide array of units and stages keeps things interesting, but don't think that the cutesy look means this won't be difficult. At the moment the game is free with no in-app purchases.
The starship Paladin is under attack. Aliens have invaded, and they don't seem interested in making friends. Use your wits and your weapons to help your shipmates overcome the intruding menace. Unlock new units, master their abilities, and drive the alien scum off your ship. Don't get cozy, or you could be a meal for a giant space ogre.
- Challenging levels that will test your skills
- Fast-paced combat that will keep you on your toes
- Lots of units to unlock and play with
- A quirky, light-hearted storyline
Silly Sausage in Meat Land
No, this is not a sexually suggestive adventure game romp in the vein of Leisure Suit Larry, which is what I was expecting from a title like "Silly Sausage in Meat Land." It's a sort of mix between Snake (in this instance being played by an infinitely-stretchable wiener dog) and a wickedly hard platformer, with interesting stuff like Mario warp portals and death blades thrown in. Give it a try if you want to see something unique in the platforming genre. A single $2 in-app purchase removes ads.
Meet our stretchy pooch : Silly Sausage in his adventure through Meat Land. Swipe based controls will allow you to stretch through the air changing direction as you go. Latch onto a surface and your dachshund will retract to that spot. Having an infinitely stretchy body is pretty handy.....but it's not all plain sailing. Your exposed body is vulnerable to all sorts of meat cutting instruments so don't over stretch yourself or you could end up butchered.
At first glance Space Chicks looks like a standard endless runner, but an interesting combination of stages, modes, and upgrades makes it worth a second look. While most of the time you'll be running on circular platforms a la They Need To Be Fed, vehicle sections are more straightforward, and the two-player co-op splitscreen mode is unique. Interesting weapons and upgrades, combined with charming art and music, make for one of the more interesting runners we've seen in a while. Currency-based IAP is present, but easily ignored.
Space Chicks is a gorgeous endless platformer with simple one touch controls, amazing Space physics, beautiful effects, and heaps of fun. Kill bad guys, save chicks, drive spaceships, compete with your friends online or play two player on the same device, complete all of the missions to receive rewards and be the Hero the Chicks need you to be. Fun powerups, such as the Space Car, or the Chick Hammer, will help you get through even the most dangerous of planetary situations.
In this interesting little game you use a series of colored overlays to match up balls and remove them. The premise is simple, but the various multi-colored targets are always moving: you'll have to use your limited turns wisely and keep track of a handful of balls at once. Think of it as the color theory version of juggling. The game is free with no ads, but small in-app purchases can buy extra lives and moves.
Overpaint is all about color in motion. The goal is simple: drag-and-drop the squares over the matching circles to clear them. To make new colors just overlap the 3 squares. Seems easy, right? You have all the time yet each move counts… Observe the colorful moving patterns and sharpen your skills. Join the color fun.
• Free to play, no ads
• 200 unique moving puzzles
• 100 curious color facts
• Simple and clean design: less is beautiful.
• Easy to play but tricky to master
• Drag the squares by their corners and cover the circles
• Play at your own pace: think twice, slide once
• Challenge your friends and beat their scores
• Purchasable lives and moves (optional)
Stickman Rush is a basic lane-based endless runner that takes a lot of inspiration from Crossy Road. Charming graphics and music should make for a soothing experience, and what few in-app purchases are present are only to gain a coin boost to buy extra cars. There's also a reasonable $2 option to remove advertising.
The traffic is very bad today. Drive your stickman's vehicle through highway traffic, jump over the obstacles, and change lanes to avoid the other cars. Collect coins to unlock new vehicles. How far can you go ?
◉ Swipe up or down to change lanes.
◉ Swipe to the right to jump over an obstacle.
◉ Avoid the cars and collect coins.
Do Not Believe His Lies FREE
What the hell is going on. Alternately: what the hell is going on... without ads. Do Not Believe His Lies is one long contextual riddle, sort of like the various interpretations of The Impossible Game, but much harder and more freaky. So far hundreds of thousands of people have played the iOS version, and not one has been able to crack through all of the levels and "beat" it (if that's even possible).
Only the Weak Give Up. It always seems impossible, until it's done. Official release of "Do Not Believe His Lies" the unforgiving riddle for Android. Support Us. P.S. No one said it was easy. Official Site: http://donotbelievehislies.com/
What happens when you cross Pac-Man with a top-down shooter? You get something like Forget-Me-Not. It mixes the familiar maze runner formula with a variety of enemies with different weapons. Don't worry, you get your own gun, which you'll have to put to creative use. Avoid the bad guys, find the key in each stage, eat all the dots, and get to the portal to go to the next stage. A two-player mode (on one device) is included, but in-app purchases are not.
Forget-Me-Not is a tiny little arcade game for one or two players. Mazes + monsters + shooting. Run around the infinite, ever changing corridors of the NEON DUNJUN, gathering flowers and shooting everything. ZAP. Grab the key to the next floor.. try not to let monsters take it off you. Once you've picked all the flowers, the doorway shall appear... Grind the walls for a speed boost and the power of squishing. Two player device sharing mode. Take a friend along to help and/or hinder you.
Four Letters takes Boggle and grinds it down into a super-fast formula: you've got 20 seconds to make a word from four letters, at which point the letters renew. Go as far as you can... which shouldn't be that difficult. The usual social hooks are included, but the ability to use (ahem) "four-letter words" is not. A $3 in-app purchase removes advertising.
These are the words of FOUR LETTERS. We give you four letters, and you make a word as quickly as you can. Keep making words to increase your score. The challenge increases the longer you last. Once time runs out, have another go. FOUR LETTERS is the endless word puzzle that you'll play for E-V-E-R.
- Multiple answers to questions. Get creative.
- Thousands of possible letter combinations
- Leaderboards so you can compete and compare scores
- A Dictionary where you can view all the words you've made
This game is an interesting mix of Tetris and 2048: you use the sliding block action (two blocks at a time, not the whole board) to count up to 32, at which point the combined block becomes a power-up. While the premise is intriguing and there are no in-app purchases, I found that the game lacked the challenge of both of its predecessors. If that's OK with you, give it a try.
The addictive super-hit Bonus Field is now out for Android. You must be familiar with legendary Tetris and popular game 2048. So you love this game... Bonus Field is a challenging puzzle game with a simple gameplay. The goal is to remove blocks before time is up. Swipe (Up, Down, Left, Right) to move the boxes. When two boxes with the same number touch, they merge into one. Combine the same boxes and and merge into maximum value, and unlock 10 unique bonuses. The bonuses are key game factors to swap boxes, remove boxes and change the numbers.
Bombing Bastards (Shield & TV)
Bombing Bastards (sorry, grandma, my boss said I had to say it) is basically a Bomberman clone. You know how this goes: maze-based stages, lots of bombs and good timing, and a fun time with friends. Local and online multiplayer is supported. Oddly, this game is being promoted as a SHIELD set-top box game long before the actual hardware is available. It will work with most Android devices, though you'll need hardware controllers.
As featured in SHIELD Hub. Play it on your TV or on NVIDIA SHIELD.Have a blast. Bomb oodles of nasty critters in a series of 30 wicked mazes. Defeat hellish bosses in heroic fights. Play solo, or with up to 4 friends in merciless battles. Embark on a hilarious journey with the witty Dr. Wallow to conquer the galaxy in this explosively fun arcade game.
• Single-player adventure.
• Local battle for 1 to 5 players using game controllers.
• Online battle with up to 8 players per room.
Fast & Furious: Legacy
Remember, Hollywood types, it's absolutely impossible to release a new summer blockbuster without also releasing a mobile game. Whether your game is surprisingly good (like this one based on Interstellar) or merely tolerable (like pretty much all the rest) is up to you. At least this Fast & Furious game has actual racing in it (unlike the various "drag racing" titles on the Play Store), seemingly inspired by the Need for Speed games. Naturally it includes IAP up to a hundred bucks.

Arcanox: Cards vs. Castles
In Arcanox, you use randomized cards to both build a castle full of traps and then amass an army of units to assault other players' castles. It's basically Clash of Clans meets Home Alone (the old SEGA Genesis version). It also has a ton of in-app purchases in common with Clash of Clans. But at least the Honest Trailers voice guy did the video, so I guess that's nice.
Get ready for thrilling BATTLES and enjoy this blend of collectible cards, tower defense game and combat strategy MMO now for FREE. Collect and upgrade over 300 minion and spell cards. Develop your ultimate unique deck and strategy. Attack castles of players from all over the world and steal their gold and pride. Build, upgrade and expand your mighty castle. Real Steel Champions
Indian publisher Reliance Games keeps pumping out these titles based on Rock-Em Sock-Em Robots that movie that was based on Rock-Em Sock-Em Robots, and I don't know why. They're all achingly similar online fighters with basic mechanics and an IAP upgrade scheme.
Fight alongside 50 million+ fans of Real Steel World Robot Boxing in an epic sequel. Build Your Own Robot Champion and Dominate 10 inspiring Arenas. Star Wars Rebels: Recon
By all accounts, the new Star Wars cartoon is surprisingly good. By the reviews in the Play Store, this Metroid-style shooter/platformer with base-building elements based on said cartoon is... OK. That's about it. The game lets you play four levels before asking for an upgrade, after which you'll also be able to shell out for even more in-app purchases.
Based on the hit TV show, Star Wars Rebels™. Rebels wanted. Are you ready to stand up against the Empire? Become an intergalactic hero in Star Wars Rebels™: Recon Missions, the new action-platformer mobile game. Take on 4 FREE levels of battle against the Empire as Ezra Bridger, dodge TIE fighters, blast Stormtroopers, and drive an Imperial AT-MP. With in-app purchases, wield a LightsaberTM, fight Star Wars™ bosses, drive an AT-DP, and unlock 30 more levels and 50+ unique challenges.
Heroes of SoulCraft - MOBA
What do you get when you try to turn your thinly-veiled Diablo clone into an even more thinly-veiled Heroes of the Storm clone? This MOBA right here.
Heroes of SoulCraft (HoS) is the best Arcade MOBA on Android. Don't remain in vain: glory and victory is near. Ascent the league and become a legend. Your fates cannot be to remain forever in chaos - you need to keep the order in the arena, defeat the witcher in the battle arena and become legendary. Heroes of SoulCraft (HoS) is an Arcade MOBA in which 2 teams fight against each other in fast-paced, tactical matches full of action and fun.
Turbo Wheels looks like one of those RC racers, but apparently it takes place in a cutesy take on the real world with chibi versions of barely-disguised cars. With an odd three quarters view and no brake button, this one is for casual race fans only. There's no multiplayer mode, but there are a ton of in-app purchases and advertising.
Turbo Wheels is the most exciting mini cars racing game where you don't need brakes, they just slow you down. Choose your favourite car, they are plenty and fully upgradeable, each with their own unique handling and style. Experience more realistic car engine optimized for Android devices and get ready for a winners race, because the second place is the first loser.
Wild Grinders is an ego-stroking Nickelodeon cartoon about a group of skater boys loosely based on the life of PROFESSIONAL SKATEBOARDER ROB DYRDEK. I didn't know it existed before today, but it looks terrible - it's basically what Fat Albert would be if PROFESSIONAL SKATEBOARDER ROB DYRDEK tried to remake it with the cheapest Flash animation possible. I hope that PROFESSIONAL SKATEBOARDER ROB DYRDEK got his money's worth with this $4 kids game, complete with in-app purchases, but I kind of doubt that he did.
Wild Grinders is an endless downhill skate game based on Rob Dyrdek’s popular cartoon series. Play as Lil Rob and the gang and skate as fast as you can, as you grind, ollie, kickflip and shred your way through awesome levels to escape the pursuing Security Guards. Skate as far as you can before they catch you. Collect awesome boosts and power-ups to supercharge your run with gnarly combos to maximise multiplier points and loot. Unlock new levels, boards and characters based on the show, including Lil Rob’s Rocket pack and Goggle’s Hover board.
LEGO® DUPLO® Forest
Here's another game in LEGO's preschooler-focused Duplo line. It has a roadtrip theme that lets kids build some of the scenery as they pass, but this "game" is basically a series of interactive scenes. As with all (good!) games aimed at young kids, there are no in-app purchases or advertising... unless you count all the highly marketable children's toys.
LEGO® DUPLO® Forest is a cute road trip story and building game for toddlers, starring the two DUPLO mascots Rabbit and Giraffe. Help the happy friends and the forest animals as they build, drive, sail, fish, and camp their way through the woods to deliver presents and wake up their hibernating Bear friend. Designed for preschoolers (ages 2-5), but fun for all playful souls. Even hands that are too small to really start building with DUPLO bricks can learn the mechanics building in the game.
