Users of Pushbullet are getting some new stuff today, but not all of them. Today's update is to the Firefox extension, which has fallen behind the Chrome add-on recently. The new v23 extension for Firefox brings it up to par with the Chrome version and makes it a bit prettier.

The SMS feature requires that you're using a supported app on the phone, which currently includes EvolveSMS, chomp SMS, QKSMS, Vegas SMS, and Sliding Messaging. Just type your words in the quick reply window and off it goes. The other big improvement comes in the way the Firefox extension pushes links. Here's what it now includes.

  • Easily select the device or friend you want to push to with autocomplete.

  • Choose all of your devices if that’s how you roll.

  • Never lose another note or list again if you close the panel—it now remembers where you left off automatically.

  • Send a message with your link, to remind you why you pushed it or tell a friend what to check out.

Firefox people can grab the updated extension from the Mozilla site right now. It works on Firefox 23 and newer. As always, Pushbullet is an inexplicably free app.
