AT&T has announced that the Galaxy S4 Mini, yes - the phone that came out back in November, is coming to the carrier May 23rd with HD Voice. It will be the first device on the network with support for making VoLTE (voice over LTE) calls. The handset isn't available for pre-order, but the carrier does have it listed as "coming soon."

AT&T is the first carrier to support making voice calls over LTE, supporting simultaneous voice and data over the IP network. For the feature to work, both callers must have VoLTE-enabled devices and live in a supported area. For now, the states with the feature will be Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. That means to enjoy AT&T HD Voice on May 23rd you will need to own a new Galaxy S4 Mini and live in one of four Midwestern states. Yeah, they didn't call this a limited test for nothing.

Customers will be able to pick up the phone for $49.99 with a two-year contract, $14.24 a month with Next 18, or $18.50 with Next 12. Additional details are available at the links below.
