Right before the weekend, Verizon started pushing out the long-awaited KitKat update to the Galaxy S4. Whether or not the masses noticed is one thing, but Android enthusiats all over the country quietly squealed to themselves as they pounced on the update icon that appeared in their notification bars. Now the carrier is rolling out an update for the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition as well, software version KOT49H.P605VVRUCNC2.

In addition to KitKat, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is receiving a number of bug fixes. The S Note widget should be more reliable, and Chrome's tab bar shouldn't flicker in portrait mode anymore. A few security related fixes should also help provide peace of mind.

Still, Android 4.4 is the big news here. Enjoy those white notification icons, that fancy immersive mode, Google Cloud Print, and those apps that require KitKat or higher to use. The update is going out in stages, but soon, Note 10.1 2014 Edition owners, it will be time to have some fun.
