Google Keep isn't the only app getting an update today – a new version of Play Movies is rolling out as well. This one comes with some UI refinements, news seeking behavior, and a few new settings. You want it? We can help.

Google has yet to update the changelog, but here's what we're seeing so far.

  • Updated slide-out menu with multi-account selection
  • New seeking behavior
  • Closed caption system override setting
  • Closed caption indicator icon on video info page
  • Episode synopsis

If you're not switching accounts a lot, the new seeking behavior is probably the biggest improvement. You can still drag in the seek bar to get around in a video, but swiping above that on the video works now too. Doing this lets you scrub through the video in 10 second chunks with a swipe in either direction. You can also drag continuously for better precision (slower than using the main seek bar). It's really cool.
