T-Mobile has begun its soak test of the Moto X running Android 4.4.2. An update has rolled out to a limited number of users under version number 161.44.25.en.us. A look at the About phone screen below confirms that this is indeed the latest edition of KitKat.

Android 4.4.2 has already hit Moto X handsets in Canada, and this confirms that it is on its way to T-Mobile customers once all the kinks have been worked out. Soak tests, after all, are essentially beta tests for new firmware. Only a limited number of users get their hands on the software first, but if all goes well, it shouldn't take long for it to eventually roll out to the general public. Hopefully the wait isn't too unbearable. For the most part, Android 4.4.2 isn't all that large of a leap from 4.4.
