We're used to seeing Dropbox space bonuses on various Android phones and tablets, but Google Drive is out there with some free byte promos too. Owners of the HTC One and One Max will be tickled to know they may be eligible for some extra cloud storage through a new Google-HTC deal. There are a few caveats, though

The HTC One Max will grant users an extra 50GB of Drive space for two years – this appears to be for all versions of the device, but it's a little sketchier with the regular One. When HTC One devices are upgraded to Sense 5.5 (like today's international update), there should be a notification in the Drive app as well as in BlinkFeed. It may list 40GB of space, which is the 15GB default, plus the 25GB of free space. Keep in mind the Developer Edition HTC One isn't included, and you cannot redeem the offer on a device with an unlocked bootloader.

If you think you'll go around to multiple devices and get tons of storage, think again. You can only get the free space once per account/device. The promo has to be redeemed by January 1, 2016 – you'll just have to squeeze it into your schedule.
