If you like Tetris—wait, what the heck am I saying? Of course you like Tetris. Everyone likes Tetris. Disliking Tetris is like disliking ice cream, or baby animals. You like Tetris. And EA is about to make you a little bit happier with the release of Tetris Blitz on the Play Store. Though, this is just a soft launch so it may not be available in your area yet.

Since this is coming from EA, you can expect the requisite in-app purchases for various power-ups if you really want to spoil Tetris. Come on, though. This is friggin' Tetris. We all know that you can play this game for hours without in-app purchases. In fact, EA would have to go out of its way to ruin a game this simple and entertaining. The company would have to do something completely ridiculous like, I don't know, require an always-on internet connection to a faulty server and remove the ability to save and reload games at will.

Actually, saving your game in Tetris would be silly. I must be thinking of something else.

There are two different versions of the game on the Play Store right now. One for North America (NA), and one for the rest of the world (ROW). Though, for reasons unknown, Japan is included in NA and Mexico is part of ROW. Sure, why not. The game is only available in Canada and Mexico right now as this is a soft launch, but you can expect the title to roll out everywhere in the near future.
