If using a 7-inch tablet as a phone sounds like your idea of a good time, then the ASUS Fonepad is probably your ideal choice of device. And while the massive phone (or normal-sized tablet) isn't set to hit the streets until the end of the month, you can snag one right now from eBay Daily Deals. But there's a catch.

When ASUS officially announced the Fonepad back at Mobile World Congress, it also mentioned a $250USD price tag (despite the fact that the device isn't even slated to hit US soil), with retail pricing in other parts of the world hitting similar numbers (219 eruos, 179 pounds). No matter which way you slice it, the conversions are less than $300 across the board.

But it's going for $360 on eBay Daily Deals.

At first blush, this seems like a ripoff, but when you break it down, it's not so bad for some people. For example, since the device isn't going to be officially available in the US, the only way to get one will be to import it. And shipping for something like that can be quite costly. If you order from eBay, there's no fee for shipping – it's just $360 out the door. In that respect, it may actually save you a little bit of money.

Of course, there's always the whole "I had it before the official release" factor, too. If you want to out-hipster your friends, this is one way to do it.

Since this is part of eBay's Daily Deals, it's only available for the day (or until they're sold out), so if the Fonepad is the phone/tablet hybrid for you, head below to buy.
