Back in December, we noticed that a bunch of countries had been added to the list of supported areas for Google Maps Navigation. That list was promptly updated to remove most of them, but now it looks like they're (almost) all back and available for use right now, including Bulgaria, Lithuania, Slovakia and more.

Here are all the new countries that have been re-added to supported list:

  • Bulgaria
  • Estonia
  • Ghana
  • Iceland
  • Ivory Coast
  • Kenya
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Senegal
  • Slovakia

Of those, we have independent confirmation from users in Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, and Slovakia that turn-by-turn navigation is available as of right now, which leads us to believe that the entire list is legit. We will update with any further information we get.

What about you? Are you in one of these ten countries? Is Navigation available for you?

Update: At least one commenter in Iceland says Navigation is not available. Still waiting for official confirmation or denial.

Update 2: Google got back to us and confirmed that all the listed countries are now supported! It may still be rolling out if our Icelandic readers don't have access yet, but Google says it's official!

Update 3: And it turns out Iceland is not on the list. Small mix up with communications at Google, but all of the other countries are, in fact, live.
